Can't go wrong with black paint and a set of 5-spokes! Well done!

Very nice work, Roger! Actually I liked the Foose wheels under the Merc body but I think you are right with the spoke wheels painted black will give it a mean look! Is it a Fujimi set? Or Aoshima?

Love the color, love the wheels, love this build!

Very nice looking Impala! Tasty color and cool wheels! Good choice of the tires, the wheels look much better wrapped in Pegasus rubber!

Thanks Phil, thanks Larry! Not really sure what happened here. Everything seemed to fit nicely when I mocked it up before painting. Though I noticed an issue with the hood sides (being too long and too high to fit the grille shell and the hood top). But I didn't want to use them so I didn't pay much attention to it. I guess there went something wrong with the joints of the radiator and the frame (though there was no problem to fit the radiator hose to the engine). I do have some more Revell Deuce kits, so I will have an eye these particular parts in the future. At least I'm happy with the chop and the stance, it's right there where I wanted it to be.

After 25 years (on and off) of building scale model custom cars and hot rods I finally fished my first Deuce! The weapon of choice was Revell´s 5 window kit and the first thing to do was filling the holes the door handles left and to give it a mild 2 scale inches top chop. I also scratch built a rear view mirror and an additional fuel tank up front between the fenders. The license plate was relocated and I used taillights from the parts box. the 19/23“ rolling stock was provided by Steven Zimmerman: The kits optional 5.0 Ford engine was wired. The interior features a photo etched steering by MCG: It’s hard to capture to the actual tcolor of the coupe. On a white background the paint looks almost black but it’s actually Vallejo Gun Metal with just a few drips of black added to darken it a bit. I made a few pics in a different background and alternative lighting which gives it a complete different look: Thanks for looking, hope you like it. Comments are welcome of course. Greetings from Germany
