Great in every way! You got the ageing of the paint, just right!
-
Excellent job on a snap kit. The finish is really good and looks every bit as good as the diecast.
-
That looks really good. A bit of a giant-killer! Very tasteful.
-
The black paint looks good. Don't worry about it, yours is great! The engine bay looks 1:1 Overall, a very crisp, clean build. You did it justice.
-
That body has a really nice shape and will look good in the weeds.

Man, that is SO cool. Steel wheels look ace and your timber and patina are spot-on. Really nice job on the dash and interior, too! -
Me too! This is going to be a real brute! It already looks meaner than a junkyard dog!
-
I was going to suggest a huge sound system in the trunk, but it seems you've finished it now. A very eye catching build and I like the way you grabbed inspiration from all over the place.

Great to see a rare, forgotten-about version, getting some attention.
-
Yes, great colour combo! Also nice to see an old kit brought back from the dead.

I think I've got it all straight now. The Matt black is quite effective at showing up surface problems %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/D66A6BBE-F84A-435D-BF3B-8A8361F1C2CA_zpsc8c8th6q.jpg.html] after a bit of axle tweaking, I've found the ride height. Low, but 'driveable'. %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/C8C59A34-1296-4B17-AC85-976F9990F8F8_zpsyoajjxfq.jpg.html] %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/80D237F7-CB0B-4C0D-8AFC-629629B83E8F_zpssxwsivmv.jpg.html] The headlamps blended-in nicely. I moved the indicators outwards, to line-up with the headlamp centres. thanks for looking -

I've done a bit more on CHOPT. I decided to leave the chassis alone and not get bogged-down by a major rebuild. I've added a spacer to the rear wheel well. The kit originally had a motor and I presume the gap was for cogs to drive the wheels. %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/95B24FF4-78E5-4769-9059-E0C5339CD7FB_zpsoxp49fqx.jpg.html] I had to cut away some of the cab floor, for the transmission %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/59FA1100-C73B-4B5A-87BD-6C39F3927C00_zpsqqm0x0fg.jpg.html] ....Which gets covered by the centre console %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/0E48FDD8-AAAB-4E10-8C86-FBA7F16846A3_zpsdnh1ltxv.jpg.html] The engine took a bit of work to get it seated correctly. As all my builds go into display boxes and the belly is rarely seen, the engine will only really be visible via the hood. Now I've cut clearance for the headers, I think I'll use lead solder to make side-exit pipes in the front wheel arches. %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/04081469-0A4F-4719-9D88-974FE55F3BC8_zpsn0uzy8cc.jpg.html] ...and the back of the radiator needed removing to fit the pulleys and fan. More Dremel.. %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/B41A2271-03C0-40AC-943A-B5FD9BC274EF_zpsprgsrrrz.jpg.html] thanks for looking comments/advice/criticism welcome -
They're all excellent! That 911 looks killer
-
All of them are knockout! my favourite is the last one, the red n black pickup
-
Looks good I like the subtle weathering on the underside
-
Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing this finished!
-
That works really well. The proportions are bang-on. I'll be watching this build ?

I added the headlight cowls and spent a fair bit of time tidying all the joints %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/BC2A7BCC-BB8F-428E-893E-A5DA9BA5840C_zps1989iqxn.jpg.html] The wing mirror holes have been filled and the indicators moved out a bit, to line-up with the headlight centres. Filler looks nasty, but sanded ok %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/2201CEDC-0C50-4B62-A19C-CC4A9072F468_zpszzqvo70s.jpg.html] Door handles ground away and filled. The roof is nice and straight for an 8-pillar chop! %5BURL=http://s173.photobucket.com/user/geetee66/media/054EAFE9-D3E4-4EC6-A92D-561E7D833C07_zpskuzazav4.jpg.html] Next is a guide coat of grey primer, to check for defects thanks for looking -
Great job on your chop! I'm doing one as well, so I know what you're going through! ? If you're going for a more nostalgic look, lose the scoop. or keep the scoop and tub the rears!

I like your workshop, too! I've seen these super-detail parts for sale, so it'll be interesting to see how you get along with them.
