  1. Good looking model..
  2. Great build, that's a tough kit to do right, you nailed it. Music was cool too. What red did you use for the main colour. Thanks
  3. This looks cool...keep us posted.
  4. Nice job on that. You can't even see where you touched it up so if you didn't mention it no one would know. I did all of these and this was my favorite one.
  5. Nice job on this one. I know for a fact that those decals were a real terror. You pulled it off beautifully.
  6. Good rescue job, the before and after photos really show how much work you have done....excellent
  7. Bruce...Protar kits are no walk in the park but you did a great job. If you want a real challenge Protar makes a 1/12 version of this car. I have both done.
  8. Pretty straight forward kit. You can do the body separate if you like as it snaps on the chassis quite easily. If you have the PE kit, that is quite fiddly. Good luck with yours.
  9. Just looked at your WIP, I still like em a lot.
  10. Very nice, well done and the colour looks great. How did you do the seats, they are nice.
  11. That kit was a decal challenge for sure, looks like you have met that.
  12. Hi John, welcome to the forum. I have built and collected F-1 models of all scales for many, many years. There are more of us here on this forum too. If we can be of any help to you..just ask. Its what we are here for.
  13. Nice job bringing this old tooling to life. I like your engine work. I may have to spruce mine up.
  14. Very creative, thanks for sharing.
  15. Thank you Gary for the nice compliment. Its stuff like this that keeps me going.
  16. This is the 1979 Lemans entry by Kremer Porsche that scored an amazing victory over the sports prototypes. Kit is by Platz NuNu and it built most box stock except for the aftermarket photo etch kit offered by the manufacturer. Kit was a joy to built with few fit problems. Decals were exceptional and responded well to solvent. I did not have this winner in my collection and was pleased when it was available. See under photos for additional information on this build. Thanks for looking. Interior was well done but a little sparse. Seatbelt material required some extra finesse and was a little thicker than I am used to. It looked good when done. Unfortunatly most of this is hideden when the body is on. Overall I am pleased with how the car turned out. There was lots of fiddly body detail that soaked up two days of work. Businss end of the car. The twin turbos were replicated nicelyThe wheels and tires were a very tight fit. Some of the body had to be ground away for them to steer. But it sits right. Lots of phot etch parts here, dzus buttons, inlet screen, wing endplate, spoiler, window bracing and antenna. The wing vent was painted like this on the real car....or is it engine grime. Those vents were a lot of fun to open up and took a few hours and some custom cut sandpaper to even them out. Getting the decals to lay down in them was actually the easy part.
  17. Tim....the interior looks great with all the detailing you have done. Those seatbelts look spot on. Can't wait to see the whole thing finished.
  18. Looks good Mark, very creative. I got a full preview of this from another source the other day.
  19. From unloved to loved....you did a great job bring an old model back to life.
  20. Very nice rendition of this kit. Luv the CF
  21. I have had this table size for over 40yrs and it has been in two locations. the layout has been changed many times. 1rst was a mobile home with all the walls torn down and the second and present location is the building my business is in. Its in the cellar. I bought this business and building specifically because there was room for this. Wouldn't have taken the chance on a business otherwise. That was 28yrs ago.
  22. Nice model. Martini is my favorite livery and I have a whole collection of them including this one. Your work is top notch but it would be nice if you told us a little more about how you did it.
  23. TS36 is an amazing finish and it dries to such a hi shine. You should see what it looks like over red plastic.
  24. You're welcome Gary. This was a lot of fun. When Scott comes to visit we spend a lot of time going through all these kits. Its just another way we modelers connect.
  25. This topic caught my eye. I was recently (like a yr and half ago) asked to take pics of my stash so here they are. Believe it or not some of these (not many) have been built since these pictures were taken. Many of them are painted though. This is an accumulation of over 50+ years. The Tamiya street and racer car section 1/20 Formula 1's, sorry about the fuzzy pic. many of these are started. 1/24 Formula 1 kits...yah ...I like F-1 1/12 Formula 1, mostly Protar Ferrari's...they are touogh to build so I don't so em often. More large scale kits...the Mercedes 300SL was recently featured, working on the 1/16 Corvette now. More 1/12 kits, I have over 50 to do, plus some oddballs that don't fit anywhere else. Aaahh the Fujimi collection and other Japanese large scale kits. Most of this stuff is started and or painted. My resin collection, I have since added many to this section so I gotta get busy. Some trans-kits here too. My domestic kit section, I grab one of these when i want a real challenge or something to paint. Most have been painted so i am kinda running out. There are two display cases that hinge away from this storage section. You can just see the backs on the left side.
