  1. Nice trimwork on all 3. BMF or another technique? I also love the silver over red combo.
  2. I too would like to know about how you improved the headlight rings. Here is the best I could do with mine.
  3. The detailing is exceptional. How did you get such a beautiful gloss finish?
  4. I want to build one like this too. I have the tri-color stripes. What color did you use and where did you get the rear spoiler?
  5. That turned out sweet. I would be very pleased if mine came out that well.
  6. I am interested how this one turns out.
  7. Kudos on both of your builds.
  8. I have my doubts as well. The F&F version is quite chunky. That is not to say that you could not rework it and thin it down some. I would obviously need "rechromed" after such treatment.
  9. Yeah, What he said...
  10. I love Chargers, following.?
  11. I agree the wheels really step it up. What are you doing for windows?
  12. Cool, I'll be following. The only car trailer I have to build is in this kit.
  13. '63-'64 I would suspect would have steelies for rims. I do not believe there were too many racers that would spend the cash on mags for their trailer.
  14. That turned out sweet! I wish I had one.
  15. That is way cool. The look on the wife's face is priceless. "Not ANOTHER project, sigh"
  16. I did one of these a long time ago. I made some changes you may wish to consider in your build. I added a spare tire, made a strap/chain box and used textured paint for the deck.
  17. I am enjoying the progress so far. The detailed rallys look great.
  18. I too love that color. If I ever get the privilege of owning another 1:1 Grand Prix, it will be that color.
  19. Very nice representation of something that is not readily available to the modeling community.
  20. I picked up one of these recently too. Following.
  21. I would like to follow along as well.
  22. Just found this thread. Very interesting modifications and details. I sympathize with you on how changing things on the chassis plate affects the interior to body interface. I have a number of hours sorting out things like that on two builds in progress. (1970 El Camino Pro Street and a 1974 Hurst olds with chassis parts from a 66 GTO and a 67 Chevelle)
  23. Very impressive mods and details. I love the body extension and the Susie coil box on the deck. I am also a big fan of the rectangular headlights. I did a couple of Freightliners a couple of years ago but not to the detail level you have. How finicky were the PE steps to assemble?
  24. I agree with Steve. My hobby TIME is short so it is valuable. If you figure what your time is worth per hour vs. how many hours you will have invested just to get it paintable. You will need to determine cost vs. time vs. desired results.
