BRBO 2022 Kenworth W900 EZ Build
Bills72sj replied to Sam I Am's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Inquiring minds would like to know. -
I live in Salem and never even heard that it was here until recently. (I still do not know where it is). The orange; 71 Hemi Challenger was owned by my cousin's brother-in-law way back in the 80's. I was at his house and he had it stashed in his drive-in basement. It sticks out in my mind because he said it was the only Orange Hemi Challenger with a factory sunroof. He sold it because someone offered him $98,000 for it which was STUPID money back in 1989.

Definitely looks good lowered. More pics please.

That turned out gorgeous! I have both of those kits. I hope I can do them justice. -
Yes. It is one of it best features.

I really like the custom touches. Especially the hood. I like the two tone idea but I am partial since I own a 1:1 that is two tone. May I suggest metallic brandy wine and metallic gold.

My go to is Para-film. It has no texture and can be left on for years. It also is good for masking over things like panel lines. It can also be pushed around a bit after it is laid.

Cool project. I like all the unique features you have combined. I am curious as to what trailer and load you have in mind. Likely something warranting heavy haul capabilities that works with the limited reach of the crane. Maybe something you could fabricate like a tower crane section or wrecking balls. -

You just eloquently described what made me lose interest. -

I am only 61 and still working full time. I too hope to build every impala from 58 to 70. Just missing 68 and 69. -
Well done. Yellow and black make a good combo.
-
Very nice result.

That would be my concern as well. I have never had a problem with color match as I have been fortunate enough to paint all body pieces in the first sitting most of the time. Good lighting to view the parts when freshly applied helps a lot.

Very nice builds. I was unaware of the issues way back when I built my Pink AAR. I did get the big and bigger wheels upgrade though. -
Street Outlaws Endgame
Bills72sj replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I loved the first few season of the OK guys running in Street Outlaws. The edited drama for the sake of drama with JJ and the ladies turned me off. It got to the point that since I have TiVo I would fast forward until I saw tire smoke, THEN I would watch the actual race lined up. Once I started doing that, I could watch the whole show in 5-10 minutes. -
Has anyone built the black 57 Chevy from Dirty Dancing?
-
That turned out pretty nice. Do you have a pic of the box art? I am curious if I have that kit.
-
Wow! That turned out very clean indeed.
-
Very nice engine detail.
