  1. Beautiful work!! ?
  2. Hi Raven & welcome ??
  3. Hi Vadym & welcome ??
  4. Looking good! Not seen that kit before ?
  5. Escorts may not win drag races but they usually come top in the cool stakes!!? Yep, and very nearly my last! I ended up buying three kits, mostly because of decal trouble. But in the end it seemed silly to let all the hard lessons go to waste by quitting!?
  6. Ditto. Really enjoyed learning a bit of the CBR history. The standard of the builds over the years is really impressive!
  7. Thanks Kurt, safe to say I'm a fan of your choice: I saw the real thing in live action in '98, plus the kit was my first ever build! Will be great to see all those extra details added!? ?
  8. Sweet looking interior! I noticed the bare dashboard had embossed dials. I have one like this for my next project & am wondering whether to just lay the decals on top, or maybe to drill them out. Can't quite see enough in your latest pic, but yours look cool; how did you do them?
  9. Looking great - really like grey metallic on newer Ferraris ?
  10. Hi James & Happy Christmas! I'm from the UK too, near Bristol. This a fun & very useful place - enjoy!
  11. Thanks, Scott - already had the R34 pics saved!? I'm using them for ideas on a rally car project I'm about to start. What impresses me is that it always looks like the CF is laid down with a single piece, but surely you must cleverly overlap separate pieces in places?
  12. Awesome work. Especially like the Golf & Land Rover ??
  13. Very interesting project. This "Box Stock" building looks mighty hard work!!?
  14. Flawless building - I really enjoy studying your work. Would love to know how you're able to get your carbon decals so neat on complex shapes!??
  15. British people talking about the weather is kind of a joke: we do it a lot here, probably because it's an inoffensive subject and rain is never very far away. However, it is ironic (irony being another particularly British thing) that our temperate climate (neither hot nor cold) is unremarkable compared to many other places in the world. Now that I've thought about it, I can see why you might not understand! ?
  16. Great job X2! The Silvia looks mean on those wheels. (Like the unmistakably English backdrop!)
  17. Wasn't expecting to see a MK2 Golf in candy lime green - nice work! ??
  18. Hi Vitally & welcome! ?
  19. Thanks very much for replying, Roger. They certainly do look like a very useful bit of kit. Will investigate ?
  20. Hi guys, I'd like to register. I'll be using the Italeri kit for the works Audi Quattro WRC car from 1981: Never liked the livery so it'll be good to turn in it into something more like this: On the outside it will be a discreet dark grey coupe (with no fog lights). The interior will remain that of a rally car, although it will be masked by tinted windows. Very pleased to find Reji does the correct Ronal tarmac alloys (above), so got them ordered and am looking forward to the off!
  21. I have an Italeri 1:24 kit with a one piece glass insert and wish to remove the driver & passenger windows. The A and B pillars on the car are wide and potentially forgiving in terms of hiding cut edges, although I plan on being surgical! I suspect it will be easiest to divide the section with the rear three windows, cutting straight across the B pillar line, then cut the windows from the windscreen and glue that into the body separately. Advice welcome here, but my real query is about cutting tools/technique: I'm thinking razor/detail saw, although my basic Tamiya one seems pretty crude/coarse toothed so some shopping seems in order! Recommendations/advice please ?
  22. Brilliant - something about rallying Volvos makes me smile every time! Killer stance ?
  23. Ditto - well deserved victory, Scott ?
