  1. Very cool Marty, Really like the picture with the H/Stock '57.
  2. Ya think?? Your new paint job on the Impala looks darn nice. Oh I will Chaz, wanted to get the next color on today but didn't pan out. Probably not until Monday.
  3. Everyone is focusing on the lighting, let me say how nice the interior looks.?
  4. Looks great Marco, who'd a thought the paint job would come out so good after the early issues. Fantiastic looking as usual from you.?
  5. Agree here, those a darn good looking cars.
  6. Good info here. Ditto, exactly what I do.
  7. Wow Bob, looks great in the pictures. Can't see in the pics if much or any orange peel and as Dave said, the paint jobs on the '60's Chevies were not very high quality. Do as he said, wait until tomorrow and if necessary then wet sand. Good luck my friend.
  8. Yeah I know, wishfull thinking. Anyway, I'm surprised someone hasn't jumped on the Nomad bashing yet, but I'm guessing it's just a matter of time huh.
  9. Bought my first soldering iron for a home project that I have to do that requires attaching 2 metal pieces together on a furniture part that can't be removed. I figured soldering would work but I can't get the solder to attach the 2 pieces together (the solder won't stick to the metal). Anyway, I accidently, twice, touched my finger to the hot iron......ouch!! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  10. The Nomad kits (there was a bashing threa on them a while back) get a lot of criticism, so I ditto what "Snake" said.?
  11. Saying it's a "beast" is about right. It is a pretty large model with long wingspan. I started one years ago, messed up the silver paint when I didn't have better skills and never finished it. I did do a 1/72 scale in camo (Memphis Belle), but that was also a long time ago. Like I said before, my favorite WWII aircraft.
  12. Welllll, painted the second color (two tone) and my masking left a bit to be desired so now have to redo the first color. Had plans for that today but those plans got sidetracked. Maybe, tomorrow....maybe. I really am ready to get this one over with to get started on another different car. Thanks for asking Bob.
  13. The Morgan Auto Detail (a forum mumber here) pre-wired distrubutor is a nice piece for 4.50 and 5.50 for the HEI one.
  14. Ohhhh Steven, I tried I'll take it off your hands already....no takers??
  15. When ya gonna get started on it Jerry, I can't wait, and please do a WIP on her.????
  16. ????Good choice!!
  17. Ha, I always start out wiring the proper firing order and get messed up after a few and say screw it, theres no one that's gonna look at it in my houshold and know the difference anyway. It's kinda funny thinking about how many times in my way younger days I rewired a 1:1 car and when I started it the engine missed like crazy due to improper wiring order.?
  18. Wow Bob, yer going all in....how long have you been modelling cars again???
  19. The paint as far as I can see looks great.?
  20. Definately a cool looking '57 Dennis. Being a huge '57 Chevy fan I would ordinarily frown on modifying "perfection" and I've never been a fan of any rad custom but I gotta say, your's looks pretty awesome.?
  21. Well Bob, that certainly is an easy and quick way of doing it. ? Haven't done it this way but may have to try it.
  22. So what is it that went wrong Frank? Just looks like flat blue waiting for clear.
  23. Looking great buddy!!!?
