  1. Very nice Lee, cool looking drag car?
  2. Right on Steve, I offered to take the one Kurt has but he didn't bite?
  3. Send the Pro-Shop kit to me if yer gonna trash it? But really, the Pro-Shop kit is not so bad, I have built 2 and would do more. Only thing I didn't like was the too small photo-etch insert for the side trim and trying to figure out how to put the tiny pieces on the frame for the trans mount.
  4. Usually thru the head and block. Just be sure the head is glued on good.
  5. Gotta ask, what is an acrylic oil pan used on???
  6. Hang in there Mark, I know you'll get it done. I agree tho, this is not a great kit except for the body. I'm not too crazy about how mine came out.
  7. Had a similar thing yesterday. Did my first Detail Master photoetch shifter. Was attempting to glue the tiny ball on the end while holding the shifter with a tweezers and like you said "zing" off it flew. I'm thinking I'm never gonna find this thing and cleared off the bench and started looking for it and don't ya know, as I kinda gave up, I look down and it's right in front of me. Go figure!!
  8. If 69 is too old what is 75 (me)??
  9. Working on finishing up the base coat painting on the '55 Chevy. Gonna be red and black two-tone. The red has been painted for several days so today was black day. Got it masked off and sprayed the black, but, my old fart brain told me to paint the red hood black also. Oh well, now will have to re-paint the hood red. Got to mix up and paint the red anyway since there is some black overspray on the red anyway. Ahhh, it's all in a days work huh?
  10. Welcome Guy. A lot can be learned here. I'm kinda similar to you. I also resumed model building after retirement. My wife and I for the last 10 years before retirement owned and operated an Expedite truck hauling specialty freight over the whole country. Good luck with your future builds!!
  11. I too use pointed toothpicks!! Just don't put too much paint on it.
  12. Ditto David. Usually for me at least the holes still wind up being too big. I use super glue so just a small drop on the end of the wire holds it in in a few seconds. And Bob, great looking engine my friend.?
  13. Looks real good, I guess I'm gonna have to give it a try. Thanks.
  14. Very nice looking Chris. If I may ask, did you use the paint over foil method on the emblems?
  15. Looks great Danny. Is it just me, but if I didn't know what kind of car that is, it kinda looks like a Nova??
  16. Beautiful paint job and color Lee?
  17. Very very nice Dan?
  18. That is waaaay too cool Ken!!?
  19. Ya done good there Michelle, keep 'em rollin"?
  20. Looks cool but not even close to what I am building. But thanks for the picture Bob.
  21. Terrific work Anders, beautiful?
  22. Cool, patina and rust in all the right places?
  23. Really great looking little truck, beautiful finish?
  24. Wow, what cool stuff Rex. Your Dad was one of the lucky guys to live to fly another day in a Fortress what with the tremendous loss of life on B-17 missions.
  25. All look great Chuck!!?
