  1. Gotta ask you Ray, is that the natural stance on the kit or did you lower the front?? It's just the way I like it on a '57.
  2. Whoa, thats a beauty Marcos?
  3. IMO, you are so right Tom on all points.
  4. From one Michael to another, thanks!!
  5. Whoa, that looks awesome Craig!!I
  6. Welcome back to model building Gary. I also was away a very long time before resuming a couple off years ago. '55 Nomads are cool...actually all Tri-5 Nomads are. You are doing great so far, keep us posted.

    56 Chevy

Great job Jay. ? My uncle had an identical '56.....but it wasn't a rust bucket ?
  9. Ha, I don't know about the patience part, but thanks Rusty. Well, we should know today how the foiling is going.....after lunch project.
  10. Thanks again Chaz.
  11. Thanks Buddy.....just kinda plain and simple but its enough for whats gonna be seen after its in the body.
  12. Wow Mike, great job on the restoration....very nice looking truck?
  13. And a couple of interior pics. Just simple, Detail Master Hurst shifter (first time doing it)
  14. Moving along here, lightly sanded and polished the rest of the car I'm very happy with the resilts...and now on to the dreaded foiling?
  15. Thanks Craig, I think it just may be the best I have done with black and it took messing it up (twice) to accomplish it.
  16. Oh yeah Bob, thank goodness!! Thanks Chaz, So glad I didn't have to repaint it! Thanks Monty, seems like I just can't get paint jobs right the first time.
  17. After some pretty agressive sanding and using various automotive liquid compounds I was able to repair the crinkle issue. What a relief!!
  18. Came out great my Friend, pretty darn mean looking Nova with cool engine??
  19. I did use the same process Craig and thats the stumper. I do think the dryer is probably the problem, but if I remember, I didn't use it as aggresively the second time. What's interesting is its just the top surfaces that has the issue (top of the hood, top of the trunk (tho less of the problem on the trunk) I will be sanding it again in a little while and see how it comes out. And yes, when I look at it from a bit of a distance, It looks soooo good.
  20. Forgot to mention, put a stiff wire inside it to shape it.
  21. Glad to help. The First of 4 TA's (actually one was a Formula) I have owned was a '79.
  22. Thanks Chaz, I hope so.
  23. That was quick Ray!! Pretty color, looks great on the '57 body. ? Gotta get mine underway.
  24. ALLLLLLLRight Chaz!! Looks great? Just a suggestion for the readiator hose....you can use an adequate size shrink tubing. Some other suggestions may come to you from forum members.
