Thanks Guys for replying. What you said Trevor about not as shiny when it has aged in the container is what I'm concerned about. I have one project , 2 bumpers to paint and likely won't need it for who know's when.
Looking great David....it's pretty amazing how good the detail is on the underside is on the Revell Snaptite model; and you did an excellent job finishing it off.
So far I have put about 5 coats of clear leveling it with the hair dryer after each coat. So far so good. Gonna let it sit about another 1/2 hour and put a couple more coats.
Yep, I saw that car also when looking at pictures for this build. The model actually is a Bel Air 2Dr Sedan. About ready to go to the garage to clear it!! Crossing my fingers LOL!! BTW, that is a beautiful car.
I have had the 3 different size pens and I just feel like they don't have the same chrome like look they had when they were new. I would hate to spend the money for the 30ml refill and have the same situation or it dry up. It sure won't get used a whole lot.
I'm probably wrong in saying this (and this will likely be disputed by some), but I'm not really sure one can really achieve the same results with acrylic (model or craft) that you can with lacquers and enamels. Again, I just love the easy cleanup.
Looks good my friend. I know you have soured on craft paint but I wish you would consider trying the Anita's (Rusto product) craft paint. Not sure if you know about spraying the paint and almost immediately using the hair dryer to level it. I does work.
Every thing ready to spray primer on model, turn the switch on the compressor, runs for split second and boink, it just quits running. Thank goodness I have an old ancient backup.
