  1. Just the body, it was completely crushed. Checking through the sprues I noted one of the rear shock absorbers are missing too. Thanks Les, that would be ideal if you have a bodyshell going spare!
  2. I can now call these builds done. The Charger was a pain to get the chassis sitting in the body, it went in ok but wouldn't press in that last few mm around the firewall. So out it came and I dropped the dashboard as low down as it could go, I also trimmed behind the top of the door cards until they were almost paper thin, thinking they were hitting the side glass. Fitted great after that and went together nicely. The Charger sits a bit too high for my liking but the complicated suspension and steering on this Revell kit would be a huge job if I wanted to change the stance on it, so tippy toes it is. The Mustang was a treat to build, not one issue with that and very easy to work with, I really like that kit! I'll post better pics in completed section tomorrow when hopefully the sun is shinning. Thanks for following along guys, I really enjoyed these builds, even when I couldn't get that dang jazz tune out of my head every time I worked on them, Lol!
  3. I got a refund, so it's all good. The parts wont go to waste, I have another MPC Charger kit I'll be using them on:)
  4. Very agressive looking car, I like it. Good job on the paint and detailing.
  5. Tasty looking custom. I really like those wheels on this, suits it nicely.
  6. Unusual looking cars but I too really like these '50 Studebakers. Looks cool with the bumper delete, and that paint looks beautiful.
  7. What a cool build, love all the detail. Great looking ratty paintwork, very nice.
  8. Beautiful paintwork. Very nice looking custom.
  9. Lovely looking build, and nice two tone paint combo.
  10. Now that's cool! Super unusual build, I really like it. Hard to tell if it's a custom job or was something off the production line. Real nice work.
  11. wow, that looks amazing! what a clean looking build! Nice work.
  12. Nice detail and funky paint scheme. Cool looking build!
  13. Good looking Mustang. Colour suits it nicely.
  14. Beautiful build, and a stunning colour combo.
  15. Making little swivel pins for the steering. The kit already has that feature but the pins are tiny nubs of plastic which will likely break when I try fitting all the front components together, so the original plan was to glue them on solid, but I'll see if I can make a better job of it and have them operating and with a lot more strength.
  16. I reckon something fell on it or something heavy was resting on top of it. The picture of the Revell box is from the ebay seller I bought it from, so it was definitely the couriers fault, it was fine before he sent it.
  17. The chrome tree comes with tiny R/T badges, so instead of chancing a mess with paint I decided to use them on the grill and rear light panel. I wasn't sure if they would look a little chunky, but they actually look ok. Dashboard complete and interior detailed, just the steering wheel left to fit. The K member is ready to install and I tried to recreate the factory paint on the lower control arms. I've some tidying up to do where the paint bled, fit some pins to the swivel arms and I can call this a rolling chassis.
  18. Thanks mate:) Cheers Captain, not far to go now. Thanks Alan, very kind words mate. Funny you say that. Every time I sit at the table to work on these, that dang jazz tune from the opening credits plays in my head! Lol Thanks David.
  19. Thanks, Steve. The tyres are a tight fit but not too tight where it stretches the tyre, they fit pretty well. I had to sand the backplates on the front wheels a little as they stuck out but that's about the only mod I had to do. Sorry about your brother in law mate. Seeing as these aren't just any old wheels then I won't permanently glue them solid, I'll keep them rolling and I'll beef up the steering for the fronts so they can turn without snapping off.
  20. Nice build of the MPC kit! Despite the horrendous fit issues I really like the MPC version.
  21. Chaos at the workbench, Lol. There's hardly any room and I'm sometimes getting parts mixed up between the two but I'm nearly there. The the paint on the bodies are basically cured ready for a flat and polish so it's just detailing left to do now. Much thanks to Can-Con for the Dodge Dart wheel trims, that'll give me a rolling chassis by the end of the day, thanks mate.
  22. Thanks mate. Not far to go now, BMF and some fine detailing and these are done!
  23. Nice work, I like the backdrop too.
  24. Very nice look to this, it has a late 70's vibe about it, like something you'd see in the movie "Dazed and Confused" Nice, I like it.
  25. Nice work, those wheels look awesome!
