  1. Joe! With the amazing job you did with the Mustang, there is no doubt you will do these justice. I’m in for the ride sir. Looking forward to seeing these progress. I hope the headlight area on your kits is better than mine was… Also check for twist in the body. Cheers, Steve
  2. Hi Keith, engine details look good. I’m with you on the eyes going crossed when doing the small details. I usually try to split it up the small detail work with less detailed stuff to rest the eyes, but there are times when you get in the zone… That’s a really nice orange on the body.
  3. Great time for a visit don’t you think?….
  4. Another beautiful creation from the house of Claude. (Maison de Claude?) Did I mess that up? My French is… well, very limited. Very impressive engineering as usual, I know very little about salt flats cars, but this sure looks the part. Cheers, Steve
  5. Hi Misha, great start. I thought I’d add a couple more photos from Duece Days 2019, as I don’t think you’ll mind. One of the “Duece Days in scale” tables… and a shot of our amazing weather and the a glimpse of the crowd it draws… Looking forward to seeing you at my place on Sunday. You too Russ and Phil !!
  6. Hi Claude. Heading over to check the Streamliner now. I always love your builds.
  7. Thanks Roger! Haven’t even started planning yet, other than the vision in my head. I have that kit in the stash, I might try a NASCAR chassis too, thanks for the input, much appreciated.
  8. Awesome stuff here guys. ’66 Ol Camino (built a year or so ago) current project. ‘72 Blazer ( pardon all the tape…)
  9. Awesome! Love your builds David, Thanks for sharing.
  10. Wicked! I really want to build something similar. Not sure I have the imagination…
  11. Can I play ? A few before and afters…. Gremlin slammer with working lights ‘65 Impala wagon. 2dr HT ‘66 Phantom Olds El Camino (Ol Camino) 70 1/2 Camaro ( Dutch boys tribute) Cheers, Steve
  12. This a well timed thread. I have a ‘70 that will be getting a pro touring treatment some time in the fall or winter. Thanks for starting this Jay. Claude, you saved me some trial and error to find a chassis my friend. I plan on a “modern” big block and rear wheel drive. Jay, I will be watching with great interest no matter what direction you go with your build. Cheers, Steve
  13. Nicely done Greg. As you said, the exhaust manifolds are a tight fit with a big block.
  14. Looking good Anton. The Cutlass has some attitude for sure. Nice work as always sir. Cheers, Steve
  15. Hi Roger, the paint on my Nova is Plasti Coat car colour Bahama blue. The light blue with pearl clear sounds like it will look sharp.
  16. Hi Ron, the whipple is from 3d specialties (Ron Olsen) via Shapeways. Sorry I suck at posting links, but a quick mr googlies search will turn up the site. Warning, it could get expensive, he has lots of nice stuff. The quality of what I have ordered has been top shelf. I got the 3-pack of blowers. He has different scales too. Cheers, Steve
  17. Looks wayyyyy better in paint Roger. Looks really good, and aggressive now. I do have dupli colour Bahama Blue, but i also have another brand which I think I used on the Nova. I will check and get back to you. They are essentially the exact same colour though. Cheers
  18. Looking good Keith! That orange is bringing back memories… I’ll be following. Cheers, Steve
  19. Nice work going on here Dennis. Huge improvement on the front grill and headlight area. Cheers, Steve
  20. Nice! This is actually one of the best looking builds of that kit I’ve seen. Weathering looks good, along with the primered front clip, and I like that you removed the turn signals, nice touch.
  21. Hi Roger, I figured there was clearance issues. The best part of that scoop is that it screams aggressive, which suits the car perfectly. Those Novas look fantastic in medium metallic blue. My ‘66 slammer in Bahama blue… Cheers, Steve
  22. Very clean build Mark. Love the aggressive look you gave it, and nicely detailed. Cheers, Steve
  23. HA!!! I considered making decals for this. I was thinking “Shag Waggin” Gotta love Austin Powers! Thanks Patrick
  24. Roger, I’m with Mike. Not that our opinions matter. I actually really like the cowl scoops but, to my eye, the front of the scoop looks too high relative to the back? It may be that you need that height for clearance though? That’s my 2 cents… however, this is one fantastic looking Nova, and I know it’s going to be killer when done. Cheers, Steve
  25. How low can you go… Hi Luke! Well I’m definitely going to follow this one mate, I just ordered my ‘64 Nova and ‘65 gasser kits and should have them in about a week. Thanks for sharing more details on your painting process. Your paint jobs are always flawless, I figured I just needed to move to Australia…. turns out there’s some skill involved.? Hoping you will include your final polish/wax secrets as the build progresses. Will this one stay black? You seem to be in a colour shift mood… cheers, Steve
