  1. Yes soft plasticard promos Made By Stahlberg In Finland Aside from the soft plastic they were as we say at MCF correct.
  2. I think that you can start whit a Bburago 1/27 scale SAAB diecast toy.
  3. Many thanks I will come back with some pictures during the week and some questions. I think the AMT valve cover looks strange. //Ulf
  4. Hi Tim Did you find a picture? Now it's my turn to pull what little hair I have left, I really want an injection engine in my TROG project. //Ulf
  5. I had to measure out three points for screws on Moon caps, my goodness how difficult. A colleague CAD drew this picture that I intended to print with the circles as a guide so that the cap was centered but it was actually easier to save the picture in my smartphone, set up the brightness on the Smartphone and put the Moon cap on the screen. I checked that the image/circle was correct on the screen with a circle template.
  6. 42 kits, two 1/24, the rest 1/25, mainly AMT. Some will be merged into one car, at least five maybe ten will be finished this year, the rest will take me ten years to build and that feels good. Since I can only paint on one of the sites I'm building on, it's a bit jerky. edit: 43..
  7. What type of fork do you want to build, telescop, springer or girder? If I may be curious, which kit are you building ? Some have managed to solder brass profiles, a watchmaker's job, I have before digital time extended a Revell Electra Glide fork with Plasticard or if it was sprues ?? which I let a friend turn to the right dimension.
  8. The Ford pickup, the firat time I've considered ordering a dozen or at least half a dozen.
  9. Ok, if that's what it takes then. I've been pretty aggressive about scrap boxes since I restarted during the pandemic thankfully. Now it paid off, AMT slicks and front tires, AMT 49 Ford rear rims, Revell I don't know which kit AND AMT 62 Corvette wheel backs the wrong way plus Moon caps from AMT 25 Ford, phew
  10. I really like your build. From the days when a Monster Truck could be tasteful. Bob Chandler was our hero back then.
  11. Interesting question It made me wonder if you could set up four tires in the lathe and cut them with a scalpel much like in the pictures, four normal tires could be two narrow and two wide held together by the rims.
  12. Admirably disciplined, it took me a while to figure out what that custom grill was in the left corner.
  13. Like this ? On the street in rain, not on grass or in a museum, unbeliviable cool.
  14. http://rekordwagen.blogspot.com/?m=1 It’s so cool and I can't even think of anything else to write, just click and enjoy. Of course it would be great if Tamiya made a kit. ?
  15. Exakt, thats what I ment.
  16. There has been at least one 30-32 Ford hot rod sporting a Volvo 1,8 l B18 in Sweden, one of the resin 1/24 from Tradera* straight mounted ? *Swedens EBay
  17. When I first read it I thought you had put in a Volvo engine which would not be unreasonable but that was not the case. Anyway, it looks great.
  18. I really need to look at the pile of unbuilt kits to not order one or two... The thing in favor of ordering is that the 1/8 scale makes Evergreen's 1/8" pipes with brass wire inside so perfect for building the front legs and rear in the frame more correctly, a challenge but it should work based on the availability of material in the right dimensions.
  19. Well done, congratulations on fulfilling a childhood dream and congratulations on being privileged enough to have a kit made by Tamiya themselves. Boxsters are wonderful cars, my wife gave me one fifteen years ago. Porsche's designs are great but I often find myself thinking that the previous design is better than the latest and that is certainly the case with the Boxster. Your original model is actually better looking than my 2006 987 but you forget what it looks like as soon as you start driving.. Edit, wow, it’s an American Snap kit.
  20. Maybe I'm too old for this, but I'm up and running. Iron Maiden ?? no, it will be spot welds. Usually the goal is to get a nice body to paint, this time the goal is the opposite and it's just as difficult actually.
  21. There really is a difference with thin and round spokes
  22. Wow, I will be following this build closely. You've really got the height and wheel arches right. Transverse leaf spring on a big sedan is incredibly focused.
  23. Now I have lowered the body 2-3 mm above the frame, I think it looks better anyway. The inside of the door and dashboard make sense now. A little adjustment is needed to get the body in balance. The wheels from a Moebius pickup might be Annsons from Peagasus to justify my sidepipes. Feel free to comment on the height.
  24. A very nice build. So in short, this is a conceptualization of the re-release of the Revell 5-window coupe that we desire.
