Yes it is... From time to time on this corner there will be some really cool car parked for display. The owner of the property is an avid Mopar collector and has quite a few. Most are fully restored, but some look so good in their faded original skin, dings and all, that he leaves them that way and just has them buffed. He’s got good taste.

Yeah, the roof paint is heavily faded and there are patches of what appeared to be mild surface rust or perhaps it’s the primer, but it is all beautifully buffed out with a very glossy sheen.

Harry, that takes a lot of patient cutting to do that... nice job? Also, I was wondering if you were wearing gloves when handling your bumpers? Bleach on bare skin basically melts the very surface layer of skin...causes a slimey feeling?

No, don’t use gloss for a base layer.... I mean, I’m sure it can be done and likely has been successfully, but you want your base layer to be like primer so that the top layer has something to really adhere to. Gloss would be more of a risk. And if you use acrylic for the base layer make sure to use acrylic for your top coat as well, or enamel on top of enamel, etc.?
