Lin, your builds are always immaculate! This one is just as beautiful as your others. I don’t see any flaws and doubt anyone else will either. Extremely nice, clean work again! Yes, where did you get the windshield wipers?

Hey Luiz, glad to have you! ... 30’s to 70’s, how does it get any better than that??

Mine was a kit from the 80’s so I was worried the plastic had become brittle, and when I was puting the body on I thought it was going to crack or snap in two... Fortunately it did not, and when it clamped itself into place, it was like, “I ain’t ever gonna move again, so don’t even attempt it!” -

Thanks Trevor ... For as simple as they appear to be, they were actually excruciating to create and install satisfactorily and at one point I was tempted to scream. At least 5 times I found myself on all fours looking for a tiny transparent square somewhere in the carpet, and simply handling the little things was similar to brain surgery ... I’m almost certain of that. -
Ok, seriously.. Is this rendering super awesome, or super ugly? And here’s the video that hypes it up...

Whoa yeah! Whatta’ car that one is! ... Nice job on that thing, looks real sweet?

Be prepared for fitting the body to the chassis ... it’s a tight one! -

Mark- Thanks.... Yes, I found some very plyable rubber-ish clear plastic and was planning to do just that, but I hadn’t thought to make a paper template first, so thanks for mentioning it. Rex- I got in touch with Randy D at Modelbuilders Warehouse (great guy!) he’s sending me a new windshield. If it fits right I’ll use it. Ray- Thanks man! I can hardly wait to get into the next level of the build. Mike- Thanks for looking in, and glad you’ve found some useful info here? -

Hello all! Been awhile... Ive been really excited about this post because getting the side windows done right was a real test of patience, but they’re now done. Yay! Getting all the glass in is a major step because it allows you to finally attach the body to the floor pan and chassis and I really wanted to have that part shown in this post as well. ............But then something unexpected happened, as you’ll see.... PS: edit... The kit’s side windows did fit really nicely, but the marigin for error in aligning them well is very tight. You definitely want to fiddle with them for awhile to understand how they fit into the subtle grooves. Here’s a pic of the side window look I’m going for... Well, there you have it. Since I had already glued the window in place with C/A glue my biggest concern was how to remove it without causing damage ... I was having true nightmare visions of this! ....But after scoring the edges where the glue was using my panel line tool, it snapped out very simply. That’s a major relief! ........Now, on to plan B. -

Mark, I love that you always take the more difficult route! ...It gives us the chance to see some cool and unexpected stuff. I went over and checked out the beginnings of this WIP in the “model cars” forum.... The grill looks awesome?? -

Hi Marco.... Nice clean work on this! I like that it has an engine unlike the Fujimi kit. I just recently built up the Fujimi version in the exact same livery, so its fun to see a different one. Here’s the link if you wish to see: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/158102-1966-le-mans-gt40-sotheby’s-auction/ -
Really cool Camaro Ken.. nice work? I must add that I really like the way you display your cars here. I think your diorama backdrop is is the best one I’ve seen on this forum IMHO.... There are others that may be more detailed, etc, but yours always makes me think of a car in a shop on a warm summer night thanks to the way you do your lighting. There’s a very realistic atmosphere about your pics and your camera angles/composition are very appealing.
