  1. David, Thanks for looking in and sharing your appreciation!... I have been putting a lot of effort into trying to document this build well so that others with this kit might benefit. The actual instructions for the kit are very simplistic as far as pictures and the written parts are kind of time consuming to process. Speaking of time consuming, the photos and bulletins take more time than the actual building does. Mark, thanks for continuing to look in .... Surprisingly there are still more than 70 kit included parts to install, many of which are small, some being P/E parts, lenses, etc. There are also some parts that the kit does not include which I’ll have to figure out how to make if I want them. I’m also planning to attempt to do at least SOME more wiring and plumbing lines..... So still a lot of work ahead .... I didn’t even mention decals, the numbers I will probably be drawing and cutting by hand.🤪
  2. EDIT: Important additional tips I forgot to add, as per correct build order of the HRM instructions Now for gluing the rest of the chassis/floorpan
  3. Here’s something cool I never knew about....
  4. B.. for “but”, as in.... But, this is my thread..... lol!😆 (I guess a was unable to resist)
  5. E - EXACTLY!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Hopefully this thread will die off soon and just go away. It might happen if people can resist their natural inclination to take the path of least resistance. Can we do it people, well can we?
  6. Great pic.... I especially like the kid peering into the cockpit.
  7. Yeah, never lose your sense of humor.... that’s what’s wrong with everything now! Hopefully this video link can help you feel better about it..... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cpGfyp6MxkM&list=PL31WoDLKG0gdNHnS0eMhB9H59usJasq0E&index=3
  8. R - is for right braining through life
  9. I think the most humorous one I’ve seen so far is “Old Nasty”.... I’d like to hear the backstory of it.... or maybe not!😬😆
  10. Yes, they really are thick. PS, I’m surprised there haven’t been more responses on your build yet, as it is truely a stand out build... and the GT40 is such an icon... who can’t love em?!
  11. Mike, this looks fantastic! ... A very well done job indeed! ... And the tire decals look great! Reguarding those same tire decals that I also applied recently I used a paper towel folded over three or so times so it was thick and cushy, then after putting the decal on the tire with lots of Solveset/Microsolve I carefully pushed the decal side firmly into the paper towel as it lay flat on the table. Worked great for me, maybe it will help someone else.
  12. C.... is for different approach of COMMUNICATION
  13. Hey Mark. I looked at some of Pierre’s cars in the link... not too shabby for brushed on. I especially like the weathering he did on the underbelly. I was wondering though, does he use primer or just flat paint for his base layer?... It appears he’s developed some good formulas.
  14. Somewhat like the “Counting” thread, but with letters. Only 1 letter, someone else has to post before you can post again. (You can also make a statement along with your chosen letter) I’ll start. S - this is STUPID!
  15. “Today’s Reality” ?..... I decided this belongs HERE.... It’s amazing that of all the hit songs that are played every single day on the radio, this one from the 80’s never gets played... I’ve actually never heard it one more time since 1989.... I wonder why, because we are living in the day this song is becoming more and more a reality. One doesn’t have to try too hard to see it.
  16. And if you’re just DYING to hear the original tracks, here they are...... A Tout Le Monde is a particularly good one.
  17. Megadeth unplugged is still AMPED!! ..... Pure AWESOME!
  18. Hey Mark, those fenders are looking real good all smoothed out like that ... It’s gonna’ look great painted!👍
