  1. Hi all!... This will be the final posting for this WIP. Although there is still more work to be done, I will be finishing it up offline. I have shown all of the major build segments for this kit. What is left is mostly smaller details such as gluing headlight lenses into place and extra details such as engine compartment additions which would be up to the builder. ***This last post involves the hood/bonnet fit to the body along with the front chassis brace which it connects to in order to pivot upon for the opening and closing of the hood. I will simply say that this is a seriously problematic fitting issue. I tried to conquer this issue in my own way which wasn’t entirely successful. I wound up with a hood that can be propped open and can be placed in a relatively acceptable closed position, but in order to achieve this I had to render the hood hinge mechanism useless... In other words, it’s either opened or it’s closed.. there is no working hinge. I added photos to sum up the work I did as best as possible, but in trying to explain any kind of step by step process for getting a good hood fit, I find it basically impossible. If you build this kit you will simply have to cross that bridge when you get to it, but definitely expect serious difficulty here. One thing I can add is that the front brace will likely be slightly warped and it will snap very easily if you try and bend it. If you need to reshape it you can heat some water up in a microwave, but not overly hot or boiling. Keep cold water running on the side so that after you dip it in the hot water for about 3 seconds, you can quickly set it by running it under the cold water. The resin is surprisingly easy to manipulate this way. I used this method to slightly tweak the hood and the rear window also. Id like to thank everyone who followed along for your kind comments and interest as well as those who shared valuable, hard to find photos. Everyone’s contributions during this WIP are greatly appreciated! I hope people who plan to build this kit will find this WIP useful along with the kit’s instructions.... I will be posting this in the “Under Glass” section as soon as it is finished and I have time for photos. Thank you all!?
  2. Exactly... if I were to add up the hours of some of my builds and expect someone to pay me $15 an hour for it, they’d laugh and walk off as soon as they heard the final price. I think the only way to actually profit from model builds is to build them so quick and generically that they wouldn’t even be interesting.
  3. There is a “love button”, it’s at the bottom right corner. It’s a big grey dot. If you push/click on it twice a heart symbol will appear there. ❤️- Like so.
  4. Great job!.... That decal work had to have been challenging... and that weathering really makes it realistic.?
  5. K I L L E R !
  6. That is AWESOME! .... And that color is fantastic!
  7. Wow Kurt, that one is awesome, and your weathering is superb??

  9. That’s a phenomenal shot!❤️
  10. Always love seeing a Cobra.... Very well done??
  11. How cute!.. She has such big eyes!
  12. Overall, pretty dang nice work... Very clean look.
  13. I can’t see the pics either...?
  14. Your detailing and paint work is nicely done.
  15. Didn’t feel like going through 21 pages to see if this one already got posted, but even if it did it’s such a good one that it shouldn’t matter anyway.
  16. Maynard James Keenan is the singer for the band called TOOL... He has other side project bands as well
  17. Really loving your creativity on this one Mark.... Your shifter boot did it for me this morning???
  18. Absolutely no one could do Led Zeppelin better than these guys except Led Zeppelin themselves! Truely one of my favorite bands from the 80’s/90’s
  19. “You’re going to sit there until you eat everything you put on your plate” “Mom, my stomach hurts, I’m going to puke if I take one more bite!” “We’ll, you need to stretch you’re stomach out, that’s the problem.”
  20. Very sweet looking custom... I’d have to agree with you about that metallic copper, it’s beautiful to look at... and you did very well on the painting.... I was curious what you used for the chrome metal trim that wraps around the body?
  21. Very striking with a great paint job, color and stance.... It’s a beauty, as apparently are the ones in the background also.
  22. Steve, this is an exceptional looking model... The interior, paint, engine, overall concept are all really well done!
  23. Tony, your mustang looks fabulous. Nice work!..... I too am like you and really enjoy the photo sessions with my models, though I’ve never gotten quite as creative with backgrounds as you... The Mirage mountains with the black glass is a spectacular effect? ....I remember building that Boss about 30 years ago, but no longer have it. As I recall, it was a fun kit that built up nicely... Yours has got me thinking I might have to do another sometime... Thanks for the show.
  24. Ryan... THAT is one sweet Challenger!... And then DANG! that engine detail!... Very nice work throughout???
