  1. Thanks for the meaningful remarks Trevor, and for following along. I really appreciate it. Thanks Bill! ... From what I’ve been hearing, I seem to be the only one who has had this fit issue, so definitely check your HRM windshield before you do anything because it might fit perfectly... Also, if you have a Gunze windshield, it should work fine. I PM’d Len Woodruff who did a masterpiece build of this kit and he told me he used the Gunze windshield in his because it is a clearer plastic. The HRM glass has a yellowish tint to it, but it’s really not that noticeable when it’s installed. I have the original HRM glass on the back of mine, and there is not a discernible difference between it and the other glass, I guess, unless you’re really studying it.
  2. Tim, talk about art! ... This is a superb execution!... Quirky, very fun to look at, and impressive detail and craftsmanship. Very nice job!🤠👍
  3. Hi all... I’m just wanting to find out who makes the nicest and most accurate looking aftermarket spoked wheels for the AMT 289 Cobra, which is a 1/25 scale. Thanks!
  4. Dale’s Pale Ale👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
  5. I just feel sorry for Dave .... You do a great job Dave!👍
  6. No way Kurt, if I was tryin’ stuff like that I’d be in the looney bin by now! Thanks Mark ... I have mixed feelings about it. It was a lot harder than the side windows were, but now I know where to find the best plastic for windshields.👍 Thank you Len, I appreciate it!
  7. Wow! Whether you love it OR hate it, that is one fantastic car! ... Way to pique the interests again eh Kurt?
  8. I just started getting them for the first time on my iPad.... There needs to be a jail for people who are responsible for this stuff.
  9. Thanks Jon ... That’s the prettiest one I’ve seen! ... I guess it must be the red. Heres a ride along and a lot of yacking in an Aceca ... Found it off of afx’s link ... As I watched it I just kept thinking, “how much money does this guy have anyway?” ....Wouldn’t it be nice?.....
  10. I received a replacement windshield, but it was an exact match to the one that fit badly, so no go☹️ Nevertheless, I have finally achieved getting one fabricated and it was a formidable task! It was far more difficult than making/installing the side windows were. I cut windshields from three different kinds of plastic before finding one that had the right workability and clarity, after that I cut five different windshields of which each one needed installed and removed numerous times so that I could trim them until I wound up with the one I’d finally use. It’s not perfect, but It turned out pretty good considering the difficulty of it, and now that it’s in there there’s no turning back. So, rather than staying upset, I just decided to chalk it up to experience gained, and I also wound up with a clearer windshield than the one from the kit. Here’s some mock up pics of where it sits now. The body is now glued to the floor pan... The chassis is not yet glued. Its such a relief to finally get to this point and see it coming together!
  11. JC, great link there to your WIP, thanks for posting it... You’re a master of this craft that’s for sure! The car’s body and engine are perfect. I have never seen a trans kit for this on Randy’s store... is it still in the works with Harold? Is there another store distributing it? Just curious as to the overall status... This is one I could see nearly every Shelby buff wanting. I am truly looking forward to seeing those two builds when they are completed!
  12. That Frog kit sounds cool! ... And I agree about the early Cobras. Though I like all of them, the earliest ones had a more delicate look to them ... kinda like fine china, if you will.... I really like the look of the AC Ace also.
  13. Have something to add?... add it. As long as it’s related to Carroll Shelby.
  14. Today was a bonus round for random sightings ...... Love the license plate on the Ford GT... “IBCNU”😸 We have lots of forest fire smoke in the air, so everything’s yellow tinted. I finally got some good pics of this Citroen ... It lives up the street from me, but when it’s home it sits real far back on a driveway ... Today it was parked in central downtown. And then there were these two delinquents just sitting there loitering... Oh yeah, and this one...
  15. Yep, cats make life better ... thanks for sharing Bruce😁
  16. Ahh, now it makes so much more sense.... I’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing the other two!
  17. Dang John, you cranked that thing out quick! ... Turned out beautifully!
  18. So sorry Lee! What’s funny is when I saw your name, I even thought, “Oh, cool, it’s the same as my middle name”... and still wound up getting Dan somehow... Yeah seriously, LOL!... I think I’m taking the early train to dementia🤤 PS, I fixed it...
  19. She’s very sweet Lee! ... Absolutely love the color combo, and great work on details with a very clean look👍
