  1. Steve, I always love seeing your builds... So,so nice! Could you say where those tires and wheels are from/ esp. the tires?
  2. Lin, beautiful Camaro! .... I really didn’t want to watch a whole 26 minute video, but once I started I couldn’t stop! Your videos are very nicely done. I particarly appreciated the wheel masking segment. Wheels are not easy to get super clean lines on, but you showed us how. And yellow is not an easy color to make look great on plastic, but you pulled it off very well. Your level of skill becomes very evident while whatching your videos... Masterful work!
  3. Something not yet mentioned that works well if you’re careful are your used X-Acto blades. You can stab them into the plastic part in an area that won’t be visible after assembly. You can then tape the blade to any other object or stick it into a piece of styrofoam. I’ve done this numerous times on very small pieces... I guess the trick is to push hard enough for it to stay stabbed in, but not so hard that you split the part, and be careful not to slip and the part flies across the room! Pic shows an X-Acto blade taped to a toothpick ... This method allows you to paint all the way around the part without anything partially covering it like a clamp.
  4. My first time seeing this and glad I didn’t miss it!... ABSOLUTELY STELLAR!!
  5. Wow, very cool ... very nicely done!
  6. Very creative ... your rust effects look quite good.
  7. Great tip John... Thanks! I like that Roadrunner, especially the mossy green... looks great with those rear rims and tires!👍
  8. One of the coolest ‘53 Ford truck models I’ve seen. That is a superb baby blue color.... Max has great taste! You guys made a great truck together! Thanks for sharing👍 PS, The side glass was deffinately the right choice!

    Revell 67 GTX

I’ve been considering one of these for my stash... Alex, that is a perfect build, BEAUTIFUL! Great color, great engine work and details, and pristine body panel lines.🤠👍
  10. Thanks for the response guys ... Steve you answered everything I could’ve asked, thank you! Yes, in thoughts of some future builds I’d likely be interested in, it seems Jo-Han has some of the more interesting body styles available. I’m aware they are out of business and most modelers probably horde them like crazy... I would! .... I do some searches on eBay and see most of them are high price now. It’s truely a bummer that there really isn’t anyone putting out the variety of classics that they did🙁 ......Thanks again
  11. Hi guys. Until I joined this forum I’d never even heard of Jo-Han, but they made some cool kits and so I’ve been keeping my eye out for something for a future build. (nothing specific) ...So I’m just wondering from those of you who have built at least several, how is their buildup quality? Do they often have fit problems, etc? Thanks!
  12. Hey Sam, just now saw your post... No, I’ve never been to any shows in Lusk. But here in Casper we seem to have a huge number of custom/classic cars for our city’s size (about 60,000). Just tonight I saw a ‘68 and ‘69 Charger driving side by side down 2nd Street. They were both in the primer stage, but in a way that made them even more cool. I see cars here that blow me away all the time, and quite a diversity too, from any classic you can think of to supercars, to custom trucks and so on. I just wish I had my camera handy at all times🙃
  13. Michal, that is such an extremely nicely done Impala. It looks so clean, smooth and precise, and the color and paintwork is perfect. What a joy to look at! ...Thanks for sharing it with us, and keep up the awesome work🤠👍
  14. Looks real good Steven, especially with that backdrop of Sarthe.... I’ve personally not done any major decal work like that, but I can imagine my heart rate skyrocketing whenever ANYTHING started to go wrong. Nice job👍
  15. Joe that turned out great! ... very nice work, I like it a lot!.. And as a finer note, I really like how you did your windshield washer reservoir👍
  16. Wow Steve.. congratulations! This is one hella cool car which I never knew a thing about until I read the article in your link. The car inspired the Corvette if I read it correctly..???- AWESOME! And then I checked out your WIP and saw how you gradually refined a hunk of resin into this elegant and sleek road car using brass and polystyrene ... years went by and now we’re seeing the results ... A lot of skill and patients went into this one for sure and you're to be commended on your unwavering attention to accuracy and seeing it through until you got it right. What you’ve accomplished is a beautiful rendering of a very rare subject and that’s got to feel pretty good as you look at it and think back to where you started off. Wonderful job!🤠👍
  17. Jason, that’s awesome!... Love the mud spatter and weathering. Very unique and great pics too👍
