Wow! That looks awesome. I bought one of these kits a couple years ago since it's my favorite year of the first generation Toronado.

Paint looks great and I admire the engine compartment detailing.

Very nice build and great looking color for the era. I built one of these also from the Prestige Series and the chrome was faded. Had to get a replacement set of bumpers.

Turned out great and the gray metallic seems very suitable for the era. Red mid body striping turned out very nice.

Thank you John. The door panel lines were deepened with the back edge of a slightly worn #11 hobby blade. I do all of my models in that fashion. Thanks Jim. I haven't been on here for a few months and just saw your orange '67 Impala. Looks absolutely gorgeous in the sunlight. Thank you, Philippe. Thanks David, and I felt fortunate to find this color with the modern offerings from Dupli-Color. The black lower body color is not only correct for this particular model but also adds such a nice accent.

The color reminded me of Mountain Green that was available that year and not as commonly seen on these cars. I have to be honest and say I didn't sand off the detail on the passenger wheel housing but I'll most likely take care of it on my next build.

AMT 1/25 scale 1967 Impala SS-427 that was built from a 1997 issue kit. Painted in Dupli-color Hampsted Green (a Honda color) and cleared with Rust-Oleum Lacquer (green label can). Excellent kit overall that required some massaging to get the body mated to the chassis. The model has all of the markings of the SS-427 model except for the "Super Sport" emblem above the taillights which should be a "Chevrolet" script. I hadn't noticed the incorrect emblem until I was polishing the paint otherwise it would have been removed. I have a couple of the newer releases of this kit which have side view mirrors but since this kit did not, I used a spare mirror from the Revell '69 Camaro. I filled the grooves in the tires with Deco-Art Cherry Red acrylic paint. The trim lines are nicely defined for foiling but since it is an older kit the chrome has some blemishes in a few spots. Definitely looking forward to building another one of these in the near future. And lastly, I somehow managed to reverse the correct positioning of the wiper blades which become apparent.....after the super glue dried.

Excellent creation. My second car was a base (non louvered quarter window) '73 LeMans coupe in Slate Green. So seeing this is really cool.

That one gave me a good laugh. And I wasn't aware those motors had such issues. I do remember the Quad4 being pretty heavily marketed by Olds at the time.
