This 1/25 scale AMT '69 Chevelle was built from a parts lot I purchased off ebay and contained everything needed for the build less the engine and tires/wheels. Painted in Dupli-Color Bordeaux Red (a Honda Color) and cleared with Rustoeum Acrylic Auto Lacquer. Not a build for SS-396 purists since I had some fun with this one. Originally planned as a curbside I installed a spare motor from the '69 Riviera which only required some minor modifications to the chassis and top of the transmission to get it to fit. For what it's worth the correct motor for this kit is not the greatest fit in the transmission area either. I added some heater hoses to the engine compartment but didn't bother to upload the pictures since I'm still a work in progress when it comes to detailing in that area. The lower bodyside area has been foiled and the panel between the rear tail lights done with matte foil further distancing this one from a factory original. The buckskin interior though isn't too far off from the saddle offered from the factory. And the wheels are spares from one of the AMT '69 Chevelles kits I have as are the Good Year tires that were frequently found in AMT kits from the '70's and 80's.

Very impressive work and as a fan of green cars definitely admire the shade. Pretty cool seeing a build of a vintage kit.

That is beautifully detailed build. That exterior color is awesome.

Excellent work as always and having built one I agree that overall it is a great kit right down to the posable wheels. Didn't dress up my interior nearly as much as this build and the scratch built armrests would be a great addition to many of the older promo style kits in my collection.

My 69

That is one stunningly beautiful '69 Impala. -
I've been thinking about doing gauge bezels in this way. May I ask what size aluminum tubing you're using? And I guessing they are applied to the instrument panel with super glue.

The TS-20 was a great choice. Excellent work.

The deep blue exterior and red lines work very well on a great looking build. Seats also look great.
-
Beautiful paint finish on a very nicely done conversion.

Nice work and I really like the red on red exterior and interior color. I built one of these MPC kits as a T/A and thinking I might do a base Firebird with the other kit in my collection.

Revell 1966 Pontiac GTO - Final Build of 2021

That is a stunning build and most likely the best I've ever seen of this kit. I really admire not only the paint shine but also the engine compartment detailing. -
That was a great rescue and a great price Bill. I notice Ranger Tan Embossing powder was used and that is a color I have not been able to find for the last couple years.

Followed the WIP on this one and really admire the effort and beautiful results.

Thank you Cliff and Carl. Thanks Charlie and I always liked the factory orange metallics on these cars in '75 and '77 especially since they weren't always the norm. The top and interior is just Rustoleum 2X Khaki. Only available in gloss I spray the interior in Testors Dullcote and then applied a couple coats of Pledge Floor gloss until I acheived the desired sheen.

I agree those are three outstanding builds and that monochromatic, modified '57 Chevy is such a one of a kind masterpiece.

Is this the first release where it can be built as a factory model? The Lindberg version of the '66 Chevelle is almost impossible to find.

Impressive work all around and that AMT '83? Camaro is a rare sight. Did you use quartersawn oak for the diorama structure?

Looks great in yellow with the red lines.

My Models For 2021 (VERY pic heavy with video) Part 1

The paint on that VW is superb. Neat video. -
Shelby Cobra turned out beautiful. I really like that Vette in that awesome shade of green off to the side. Given that it's a '74 it would seem to have been a pretty rare find.

Stunning builds and photography.

All beautiful builds. The '69 Chevelle is my favorite.

Gee Claude those are works of art. That silver Charger? with the operable doors, hood and trunk lid had to take a considerable amount of planning and time. They're such one of a kind and very creative builds.
