Excellent builds of two very popular cars in their day. I'm impressed with your fitment of the front bumper which can be a challenge with the GTO along with the white pinstriping that accents the car nicely.

Thanks David, and interesting fact I wasn't aware of regarding the eight lug wheels. While I'm not completely against the skirts it would be a much different look. Thanks Misha and I agree and have always felt the '65 full size Pontiacs were strikingly beautiful cars. I didn't think to take a shot of the interior prior to assembly. While I spent time detailing the console and dash it's not a fully detailed interior either. Thank you Steve. I've read topics on here regarding foiling scripts but I haven't tried the technique yet. All I really did was just carefully applied chrome silver paint with a skewer. I found just lightly floating the paint onto the letters produced the best results but having the right amount of paint on the tip was tricky. Thus it took a few attempts. Thank you for your comments Gareth and Don. Thanks Mario. They're simple kits that assemble well and the current reissue is just beginning to hit the online hobby stores.

Spectacular build and thanks for explaining how you created the woodgrain which I initially thought were decals given the authentic appearance on the console.

Beautiful build all around of a model not often seen. I've used this TS-92 on a couple of builds and it was a great choice for the Caprice. I'm currently working on this one and those body side moldings are no easy task to foil.

The color combination works extremely well on this stunning build.

Prestige series release of the 1/25 scale '65 Pontiac Bonneville. Painted in Tamiya TS-20 metallic green and cleared with Testors Glosscote. Bumpers are replacements since the 30 year old kit bumpers had dulled and why they lack the "Bonneville" emblems. Unlike the '66 Wildcat I built last summer I could never get the section between the rear taillights to blackwash properly on this one so I toned it down with some Testors silver. I have a "Countdown Series" release of this kit unbuilt (which has shiny bumpers despite being probably 10 years older than this kit) and not sure whether or not I'll use the rear skirts or possibly use an .035 rod to replicate wheel opening moldings. Just a simple thing really but I found out LCD screen cleaner works quite well for the final cleaning of the glass.

Color and shine look great Bob and I didn't realize lacquer thinner was used to cut enamel paint. But then I've never airbrushed either.

Color suits this beautifully built full size Pontiac. Excellent dashboard detail additionally.

Two excellent builds with respect to detailing and paint. And your vinyl top grain always has the right proportion for a scale model. Getting the vinyl tops misted correctly is something I continue to practice.

Was the dash pad shot with Testors Dullcote or a gloss lacquer that was lightly misted? I like the soft and very subtle sheen that has been produced.
