AMT Munster Koach..."...kind of a drag(ster)"

Great build. Doesn't look simple to me at all. With the multitude of colors and what looks to be a number of very small parts requiring a fair amount of detail to look correct you did a great job. I have thought about purchasing this kit but have thus far decided against it cause I'm not confident I could detail it well enough to make look it right. -
Very cool, turned out great

Looks very cool. Love the stance on the mock-up -
After seeing your slant 6 charger I have no doubt this one will be just as fantastic. It's already off to a great start!

So Cool, looks fantastic

Very cool looking Gremlin. Got the stance looking just right. I know from experience that kit can be a challenge to assemble. It didn't seem like any of the parts wanted to fit correctly.

That's one neat looking car. Your mods are really transforming it from plain to fantastic

Wow, the interior looks much better with the bucket seats. Who knew one modification could make such a huge change. Great vision -
Looks great so far! Nice detail on the dash

This Glue Bomb rescue was my first foray into the world of chop tops and multicolor paint jobs (all rattle can). First 2 pictures are what I started with, 1 shot of the redone interior, and finally where I ended up. As always, thanks for looking.

And that's the Falcon finished. More pictures in the Under Glass section within the next few days. Thanks to everyone who commented and looked in along the way. I never had anyone follow one of my builds before, very cool! ?

Yes, the body actually looked pretty cool once I got all the paint off of it. I would have liked to keep it unpainted. Unfortunately the body was molded in 3 or 4 separate pieces that didn't fit together very well resulting in several large gaps. Between that and not having a hood, it's going to have to be painted. Hopefully I won't find out later that it was some super rare high value collectors edition that I could have sold off and retired! ?

Thanks for the insight. Knowing the model is out of proportion will make it all the more satisfying if I can get it looking cool.

Thanks Chaz, I appreciate it.

Detailed what little interior there is. An overhead view of the chopped roof assembled and sanded smooth. Another look at the roof from the side. Once I'm finished modifying the hood to fit (originally from the AMT Gremlin), I will tape it in place, prime everything, and start filling in any wayward gaps.

Turned out great. Thanks for taking time to post the entire process warts and all. It’s a very helpful learning tool for those of us who have not yet reached “expert” status.

Welcome to the forum. I love Italy. With its rich history, beautiful landscapes, and friendly people it’s one of my favorite countries to visit.

As you can see this is all very high tech precision work. I lowered the roof from 6 Popsicle sticks high down to 4.
