Dodge 1972-77 Truck Air Cleaner Question
Tabbysdaddy replied to stavanzer's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Well, when you copy someone else's design you usually have to pay licensing. So my idea is that it's just a generic aftermarket looking air cleaner. Much like that gruesome camper top on the new Ford truck kit. -

Again not calling you a liar, are you the original owner? I'm not familiar with the tag on the carburetor, does it indicate a replacement unit? Most hated the electronic feedback carburetor so it was one of the first things to go. -

Pretty sure they all had it as emissions equipment, but I'm not calling you a liar. -

I'm pretty sure it would have the electronic feedback Rochester, which has a little computer. The carb would have an electrical connector on the top. -

Yes, they started the newer one piece rear main seal block in 86 but added the fuel injection in 87. The 454s may have been carbed a little longer though, I never researched those. -

Yea, I'm not paying almost double what I paid for my house, for a truck. My $200 vehicles work just fine, most of the time. -
Tilted wheels. Why?
Tabbysdaddy replied to Earl Marischal's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
They also do that to fit wider tires, so the tire doesn't stick out past the fender lip which is against vehicle code in some places. -
A new tool would be better, so we can have them both.

What are the must-build classic kits?
Tabbysdaddy replied to OldNYJim's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Camaro is one of my builts, back when I was 50/50 on painting bodies so I liked molded in color. I did get another from Ollie's so I can paint it this time. -
Acceptance of 3D printed models?
Tabbysdaddy replied to jdhog's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
They take a different type of glue, but as long as it still gets me high I'm okay with that. -
