  1. That's why I said I see it as sort of investing, I know I'm not an investor in the strictest sense of the word. I am willing to buy some of the stuff they pump out, if it's something I want. They just need to keep pumping away until they get to the stuff I like. Most of the stuff seen as nostalgia here is too old to my liking, my nostalgia is the newer crappy kits.
  2. If it's something I want, I buy it. Of course I would like it cheaper, but price is secondary. I see it as sort of an investment. They have things I want to see reissued so I help keep them in business. Besides, aren't they one of the few that still put names on the tires?
  3. The incorrect letters stick out like a sore thumb.
  4. That's something I look for. I don't think I have any that are exact, but I hope to do some combining and scratching to make a few. I have a Cadillac to try and make my old '83 Buick Electra. The doors, roof and quarter panels are the same.
  5. It's lawful for me to have dark tinted windows because I'm allowed to protect myself from the sun. Some people get doctors notes.
  6. I have the AMX with the metal parts. I didn't even know it was that desirable. Someone at the old SA forum traded it to me.
  7. Common sense says that isn't marked.
  8. Lol! That article repeats what I said. It might not be a police car. Call 911. Blah blah blah. It isn't a police car until I see it's a police car, and I don't have to stop and risk my life to find out.
  9. Good advice. I'm a "wait for a marked to join in" kind of guy though.
  10. Unmarked means I can't tell if it's a police car. It has no marks indicating that it is. Lights don't make it a police car, anyone can buy and install lights. The markings make it a police car. No markings no police car. Plenty of impersonators out there, just because it probably isn't doesn't mean I have to risk my life to find out. That's why they're required to be marked, for my safety. I don't see how I would end up in court, but thanks for the heads up.
  11. Unmarked cars are not police cars. Police cars are required to be clearly marked. Those "shadow" ones look like old police cars with the stickers peeled off. If it isn't clearly marked then I have no choice but to believe you're some psycho that put lights on his car to take advantage of me.
  12. Looks like you have a real bug problem.
  13. I keep my kits in a climate controlled environment. I built shelves in the living room and dining room and that's where they go. I have cathedral ceilings starting at nine feet so they're high enough to need a step ladder.
  14. Pretty sure he means the exact kit he said.
  15. That's how business works. On the consumer side, at Home Depot I can get studs and plywood cheaper if I buy in quantity. I would suggest not stocking anything commonly available at big box stores or stocking few of those. Plenty of other kits they don't get.
  16. Any and all 88-98 GM trucks would be awesome.
  17. I had to upgrade our phones before January because they weren't going to work. That was Sprint/T-Mobile.
  18. I think a top chop would make it look so much better.
  19. My 86 K5 Blazer was designated "station wagon" on the title.
  20. I played around with one of these a while ago, but I wasn't sure if I liked it so it went back in the box.
  21. Mine looks fine, but I didn't take it out of the bag and check the fit.
