Tough and rugged look. Nice build on this bad-a boy. -
Nice looking Mercedes. I like the color choice. It's a nice departure from the familiar grey or black.

Although there are some wonderful custom builds I am partial to these old stock workhorse. I grew up around them and they bring back good memories of a bygone era. I really like the way you build this. -
Really beautiful in white I love the interior. Reminds me of American Graffiti.

Nice model of a classic car and iconic duo. Really dig it.
-
Beautiful build especially in these color. I like the wheels too.

Great looking camaro. Glad you're back in the hobby.
-
Great build and the color fits perfectly.

What a stunning paint job, nice and clean build. great job on a beautifully rendered model.

beautiful challenger. I like monogram kits of that era. They build very well and they give good results in the right hands. Your T/A looks really sharp in black and white. Great build.

Nice build and good choice of colors. -
That's a real beauty Lee. Although hot rods are cool I like to see a stock old classic in it's natural state. You certainly nailed this one. Nice engine details too. Great build.

Nice and clean build. Makes me think of what a Japanese Dom Toretto would drive. It certainly looks fast and furious.

Certainly have the bad boy look. I might have to build one of these just to see how well they build.

That's a cool cop car. Always good to see a not so common version of a great kit.

California kid ford and sheriff Roy's Plymouth savoy.

Bil, It was a snap kit from Revell, I only added the front bumpers and scratch build the rear bumper. The wheels and tires come from the kit bashing box. There is another kit from Revell (second picture) but it is unusable, the scale is off . I guess the ZZ top 33 could also be used. -
My first big rig build
happy grumpy replied to raisin27's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
You picked the right kit as your first big rig. This kit is probably one of the best out there. AMT kits are beautiful but they are more ...challenging. Judging by your results tough, I am sure you are up to the challenge. Very nice build by the way. -
Really nice build Ray, I like what you did with the trim. Depending on the subject matter , I like to build snappers (recent ones) once in a while, they build quick and in the proper hands give beautiful results like you did with this Chevy. Great job.

Thanks Jim and Bob. James, the antenna is just stretched heated sprue. It's a useful technique when you need thin, round antennas like they have on military vehicles and older aircrafts. -
From the 70's flick " The California kid ". Now for the Ford coupe , I tried to replicate the movie car but when it came to the decals , I initially found a set on eBay so I thought " great " I ordered a set , only to realize that it was a clear decals with only red flames so when you apply this to a black surface you end up with a shadowy reddish blob . So I look into the spare decals and applied a substitute that kind of looks like the flames on the car in the movie. The car is still around but has changed a bit over the years. I build it with the wheels it had in the movie. Sheriff Roy's car is the AMT belvedere converted to a Savoy. I looked at screenshots and did my best with what I had. I am happy with the results though, not exact replicas but certainly recognizable for anyone who has seen the movie. Thanks again for looking.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I like to use a background to put the car in context. Right now up here in Montréal, outside shooting is a no no . Come summer I will try to take more outside shots as I like to use real backgrounds and play with camera angles and settings to make it more realistic. In the mean time it will be inside for the time being. I wish you all a great 2022.

A very productive year indeed. The yellow ford in the first pic caught my eye.

All beautiful and clean. The engine details are so good, they look like they could actually run.

great year Dominik despite your mishap. The white porches really stands out for me and the Buick wildcat. In all a very good year. Bravo!
