A snowboard and pair of matching boots, found in the 2021 reissue of the AMT 1/25 1995 GMC Sonoma SLS pickup: -
This eBay seller appears to be parting out an AMT Sonny & Cher kit: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=vintagemodelcarparts&store_name=vintagemodelcarparts&_dmd=2&_oac=1&_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2562 https://www.ebay.com/itm/234466487005?hash=item36974aaadd:g:0M8AAOSwYqpiJ6Al

And (hopefully) no "smoked" clear parts this time around.

Is there anything in kit form which is very close to the factory full wheel cover for a 1970 Ford Galaxie (not LTD), as pictured below?

I only recall the "SS 427" valve covers being included. I also just checked out hpiguy/Chris' preview for this kit, and it appears only the tunnel ram is included, and the supercharger parts are not. As far as wheel options are concerned, there are plenty, as Monogram used the big 'n' little Goodyear Rally GT tires on a plethora of kits back in the day, in 5-, 6-, and 8-lug bolt patterns. The recently reissued '79 El Camino had a decent set of chrome plated Cragar S/S wheels, which shouldn't be too hard to source.

As Rob said above, there were originally metal coil springs included, but at some point MPC made some revisions, and styrene "fixed" springs replaced them. Here they are on the MPC '65 Corvette Sting Ray instruction sheet:

ICM models and the Ukraine.
Casey replied to Racephoto1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hopefully ICM gets back up and running eventually, but the production of some plastic models pales in comparison to what's happening in Kyiv currently. Here are some existing topics (additional linked topics inside the below linked topic) discussing ICM kits: -
Unfortunately, it's molded as one with the engine block halves. I agree the ribbed "SS 427" valve covers are nice, and the scattershield is very useable, too. The ladder bars, side pipes, and separate ribbed differential cover are all good street machine style parts which are great for kitbashing. I can't recall if these are the 1/24 S/ST wheels with the tiny bolt pattern (looks like a 5x4") or not. The ET-X wheels found (only) in the Monogram Corvette SS Hatchback work with these tires, too, as do plenty of other Monogram kit wheels from the '80s.

Is Revell (as a whole) releasing the above in both Euro (flat-ish) and American style boxes? I don't think the most recent 1/8 scale kit, the '65 Vette, was ever released in a U.S. style packaging.

1/25 AMT Surf Shark 1959 Cadillac Ambulance
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I understand. I don't think any business wants to go out of business for the sole purpose of standing their ground, but it does carry some weight with some customers, and... ...their are LHS owners (^^^) who understand they are more of a niche business now, compare to 50 years ago, and will continue to work that angle, as well as the personal service aspect. It does pay to remember what happened the last time RC2 and Revell worked with WM, meeting their price demands, but I have no doubt many people will lament the lack of $7.44 kits, rather than remember the de-contented, below-average quality kits inside the boxes. -
Was here last night: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/2302/0/1 ...but is no longer. Is listed for pre-order on multiple sites, if you search using the kit number.

1/25 AMT Surf Shark 1959 Cadillac Ambulance
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Nearly as often as "I hope HL gets this kit!" ?♀️ Let's not pretend Round2 doesn't have a choice in the matter, either. We, as consumers, can chose not to support a company which gets into bed with WM, too. -

AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck
Casey replied to rekcirb13's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
For context, John G works for Round2, who manages the AMT brand: JohnG says: July 31, 2014 at 7:40 pm This is only a portion of the molds, but goes way beyond the latest catalog. Some tools were never sampled in this program. I can say without a doubt that the early 60’s Ford trucks are long gone, unfortunately. -
Bought my first glue bomb. Need advice please.
Casey replied to Mike C.'s topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
That off-white color was fairly common for Monogram kits in the early '80s-- GMC Jimmy, Dodge Ramcharger, '69 Camaro Z/28, Bad Actor '60 Chevy Panel, etc. Do the pickup tail light lenses and front and rear bumpers fit the Jimmy body the same? -
