  1. Not sure if anyone's been keeping an eye on eBay or not, but Robert has offered "test shots" of the 1982 Ford LTD Crown Victoria body he mastered. None are currently available, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if you're seriously interested: https://www.ebay.com/itm/resin-1-25-test-shot-1982-1987-Ford-LTD-Crown-Victoria-police-sedan-4-door-rare-/282821689983?item=282821689983&ViewItem=&nma=true&si=iynnuKIQq3n56RGn2%2BR94o9Y8nM%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  2. Had they replaced the seats with the steel wheels from the '66 Nova or '65 Galaxie, it might be worth the $15, and would give the dog dish caps something to be paired with, but I doubt those wheel would fit the tires properly. I don't see this ending well sales wise for Round2.
  3. Maybe not hoping for, but repackaging the re-tooled parts from the AMT '57 Ford "Flashback" reissue, and adding a set of whitewalls isn't that far off. I hope they didn't produce too many of these...
  4. I don't think the inner fenders are the same parts are the previous fenders which were molded as one with the body when this kit was still the Jeepster, but it is possible they were repurposed. Thanks to Chris' video, I see this kit contains an early Jeep two-spoke steering wheel and two sets of leaf springs, not just the high arch springs. Not a perfect kit, but there's enough there to use on various projects to make it worth buying.
  5. Great, now we just need the Jeepster body or a conversion article/how-to.
  6. ^What JC said. These were released in 2008 from what I found on the web: http://www.mautomobile.com/index.php?/topic/17451-gdetailfactory-news/ If you Google "gdetailfactory" it should pull up quite a few hits, one of which might lead to an available set.
  7. Sweet custom El Camino-- fender skirts, flying buttresses with "glass" inserts, custom front fender arches, side-opening tailgate... So much disappointment inside.
  8. I will guess yes, but as a newly recreated set, much like the wheels in the '67 Charger, '66 Nova, and '70 AMX kits. Round2 could include them in a reissued '65 Pontiac GTO kit, too...or the Hurst Hemi Under Glass Barracuda.
  9. Have you posted a link to that album previously here on the forum? They're really interesting to read. I scanned the three issues I had last year (second link, and the above image is from one of the issues I scanned), but I only acquired three issues.

  11. Thanks, Steve. Some info I found Googling: Another member of the "First Sixteen" group of 1968 Hot Wheels cars, the Python - originally called the "Cheetah" - was based on a car built in 1963 by Bill Cushenberry for Car Craft magazine. The Car Craft "Dream Rod" was designed by the staff of the magazine in 1961. Cushenberry built the car using parts from a '60 Pontiac and a '61 Corvair, and powered it with a small block Ford engine. After a few years on the car show circuit, the Dream Rod was re-styled into a car called the "Tiger Shark" which was much closer to Mattel's Python in it's appearance." Another RC2 era kit reissued. I see a few parts to be used as donor material, but asymmetrical never seems to be very popular with the masses.
  12. What is that Python kit at the lower right, with its back to the Gear Hustler '65 El Camino?
  13. Thanks for adding the pic, Luc.
  14. Maybe someone already does? I honestly don't know, but it's a popular swap for 1:1 Tri-Five Chevies and other similar era hot rods, so it makes sense in 1/25 scale, too. For those who aren't using the stock front suspension after buying this kit (or an older issue), it's good trade bait at the very least, and also a good group of parts to keep in the stash just in case.
  15. Halibrand Smooth wheels found in the AMT Double Dragster kit: Note the rear wheels on the above are reversed, but the AMT wheels have smooth/non-ribbed backsides: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/1008sr-halibrand-engineering-wheels/#1008sr_08_z-halibrand_engineering_wheels-comp_coupe
  16. Looks great.
  17. Possible new '70 annual fauxback box art for the upcoming 1/25 AMT '70 Corvette LT-1 Coupe kit?
  18. I wasn't able to find anything on the web regarding any specific differences between the '55-'59 and '60-'66 Chevy/GMC Fender Side beds, but are they the same basic beds? How about the rear bumper on both year ranges? I'm guessing bumpers were optional, and chrome plated bumpers would only be available on Custom level trucks (I did look at the 6066gmcguy 'site http://6066gmcguy.com/gmcid1.html )? The attached mage of the red/white truck shows what appears to be a chrome plated bumper from a '55-'59 (same as what would be found in the AMT Fender Side '55 k, I think), but is that "correct" for a '60-'66? Also, was the fender mounted spare tire an option for Fender Side trucks? I don't think I've ever seen the specific fender for that option offered as an aftermarket resin part, but if the AMT '55 Fender Side bed is a near direct swap onto the AMT '60...
  19. I really like the low-line truck, and didn't realize they used the same Stepside bed from '55-'66 like that, especially with the LR fender notched for spare tire clearance. That Ranger doesn't look to confident this is all going to work out, though.
  20. Would...flip that in a heartbeat.
  21. One of his models was on the cover of issue #203 of Model Cars Magazine, so he's still active in the hobby, just not here on the forum. I'm sure most people (myself included) would be loath to spend $29.99 on a kit just for a few parts, but keep in mind this kit contains a nice set of parallel leaf springs and a solid beam front axle, which is just about perfect for use in a "gasser" type build. The leaf springs are nicely detailed and have a realistic arch, and the axle's mounting flanges are wide enough to allow for some side-to-side leeway when mounting them on the donor vehicle's frame rails, too.
  22. Thanks, Mark. The LH exhaust manifold shown on the instruction sheet in the Gen Disc topic looked a bit bunched together at the lower end compared to the instruction sheet's drawing, so I thought they might be from something else.
  23. Does anyone know which kit are these from? White plastic underneath the chrome plating:
