  1. Yeah, I'm puzzled by it, too. It's a great kit, with a nice inline six cylinder engine, and RC2 reissued it, at least once, too. The '55 Cameo is being reissued this year, and Round2 HAS to be planning a '34 Ford pickup reissue. That's got to be a matter of when, not if. Now that you mention it, I would suggest the same for the AMT '50 Chevy pickup kits as I did for the '60 pickups, especially since the '50 has been reissued twice by Round2 in the last six years or so.
  2. No, it doesn't, so, to reply to your original idea... 1/25 AMT '60 Chevy Custom Fleetside - include some of the Street Machine parts (lowered suspension, dual exhaust, engine bits) but NOT the SM's versions chrome parts (custom bumpers and grille, "billet" directional wheels and matching steering wheel) nor the lo-pro tires. Tool up and include a set of more modern (whatever people are running on their slammed pickups etc. these days) large whitewall tires and matching steel wheels, add in some rat rod vintage style graphics on the decal sheet, and done. I think Round2 would be able to amortize the cost of a new set of steel wheels and tires by including them with, well, just about any 'pre-'70 or so kit in their lineup.
  3. Link to Gregg's review and excellent pics of the Revell '66 Bronco: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/revell-bronco/
  4. And the spear gun found in the Monogram Blue Beetle and Blue Bandito kits makes three.
  5. Thanks for doing the digging and comparing. The mystery gets deeper... It was another member, but here's the post:
  6. MONOGRAM '41 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL CONVERTIBLE: CLICK HERE, TOO: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/tall-rear-tire-with/?view=roll#10
  7. Not to kill Luc's topic, but I agree with James here, and in fact, I am 100% fine with them doing what they've been doing since 2008. A new set of wheels here and there, "lost" insert re-inserted to get some oddball parts back into a kit, etc., but don't go re-working anything, period. Spend the money on producing known strong selling kits, the occasional oddball money loser (Hi Depth Charger Aqua Rod!), and new items like updated tires and decal sheets. They could continue like this for another decade plus, easily.
  8. I don't think those are available in either a kit nor from any aftermarket company, Adam. I would suggest checking out diecast models if nothing else turns up.
  9. https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/amt-grand-prix-amerique-cobra-racing-492249358 It's very true to the original release, but it's not an exact copy. The trailer is the same as found in the original issue.
  10. Not mine, pics from collected eBay listings, but would be great to hear this survives and can/will be reissued.
  11. Did the AMT '64 Corvette Convertible and Sting Ray include slightly different trailer decks? While the Convertible kit picture is not ideal, you can clearly make out that the inner row of holes on the deck plate areas are farther forward: Convertible: On the Sting Ray ("Coupe"), the opposite is seen-- the outer row of holes is now farther forward than the inner row:
  12. Ah, yes...I believe they included 1/25 scale tires in that issue? I have some 1/20 scale tires/slicks I could send you if you like. Pretty sure I have some of those 1/20 Cragar S/S wheels for test fitting, too.
  13. "Recognized" it just by the post title. Very iconic Pro Street car, so looking forward to how this progresses.
  14. I would say it's exactly that, especially after looking at the "1" and "7"-- they are clearly not even the same font, though they are similar.
  15. Looks like it. Here's a '38:
  16. Looks like the minibike from the MPC '77 Dodge (Monaco), no?:
  17. I'm going to guess an AMT kit. Not sure if Tim can narrow it down between AMT and MPC or not, so my guess is the Astro 1. Despite the body, ehem, changes...: ...I don't believe the balance of the kit's parts were ever used nor seen again. And that Syd Mead style box art...
  18. Anybody (looking at you, Erik Smith ) have any content pics of the 1/25 AMT Mazda Rx-7 kit(s)? Not expecting much from a kit with a "one piece engine compartment", but I think this is the only 1/25 scale first gen RX-7, and it does have a separate hood, so maybe a halfway decent engine compartment? The body looks a bit "stubby" to my eyes, but hard to tell for sure. Mikado version:
  19. The original kit included the double-axle trailer, so the reissue should include the same trailer. Looking at the image above, the trailer seems to be the closest match to what was actually used, too.
  20. Might be a good candidate for a merge and pin in the Q&A section?
