  1. Actually, your close up pics aren't that bad at all from what I see. They're in focus and fairly well framed, and that's two-thirds of the battle right there. Having sufficient lighting is also important, but not always the easiest thing to provide. What are you using now to take pictures? To be honest, most cell phones now have a camera with is more than adequate for posting images on the web, so if you have a cell phone, that might be all you need. I have an older Cannon Powershot digital camera which I don't even use anymore since my cell phone takes pics just as well, and I can upload the images directly from my phone to my Photobucket account.
  2. Are the tires in this kit newly created, or were these included in another kit or previous issues of the 510 kit?

  4. Kitchen Table Resin makes the Ford 337 engine: http://public.fotki.com/KenK/kitchen_table_resin_kits/ford-big-job-337-v8-/dsc06616.html This post might help in regarding the F-8 cab: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=36565&p=375506
  5. Better get one soon, as I think it's been discontinued.
  6. Try sending Ben a PM: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showuser=10822
  7. There are three per side, for six total. Two of the three on the left side align with the blower and scoop so it's hard to see them on that side. Gorgeous box art, too.
  8. That's what I did. Same for the top two below.
  9. Welcome back, Brodie.
  10. You can't use the forum's upload attachment feature in that section for some reason, but you can still post images in other multiple ways. I recall telling you in another post of yours how to use the image links from your Wix pages to post images in your posts here and on other forums, too. The Aftermarket sections were created specifically for posts like yours, so that's exactly where your post should have been created. Plus, you posted the exact same topic in November. I understand there's a problem with the image attachment issue in that section, and I mentioned it to Dave Ambrose to see if he can figure out why it's not working. It would've been appreciated if you had PMed myself or Harry and asked for help.
  11. I'm not all that satisfied with the styrene rear leaf springs, though the thicknesses and width were spot on for .500" and .750" thick 3" wide 1:1 leaves. I looked a little harder and found some 1/32" x .125" brass flat stock in K&S's Special Shapes line, so while the width is near perfect, the thickness scales out to .781" in real life-- a tiny bit thicker than I wanted, but I think it'll work. The additional thickness of each leaf will mean fewer leaves per spring pack and a slightly beefier look, but most of the spring pack will be hidden by the rear tires anyway. I started by cutting the top leaf roughly to length, heating and forming the eye at the forward end, then giving it a very slight bend. The second leaf was shaped around the first, but only has half an eye, so much easier to make. I bent the rear end of the second spring 90 degrees to match this reference photo I took of a Chevy C7500 truck: Leaf #3 also received a bend at the rear, but its bent end is located forward of the rebound bolt, which was also added on both sides using Scale Hardware bolts: I also picked up some .250" aluminum rod and made a tank to replace one of the kit's two-piece styrene tank:
  12. Do they scale out to/measure 13" in diameter? I'm asking because, well, see post #169 above, please.
  13. You two both know this for a fact? Or are you speculating based on previously released kits which included the compact tires? What was the last AMT kit released with the compact tires in question?
  14. Broken Wings by Mr. Mister
  15. Those aren't the Rally GTs, but rather the 13" Firestone Super Sports (in earlier on-pen pic, at left) and Michelin X tires. To my knowledge, the only other 13" tires AMT has access to are the BFG Advantage T/As which were included in their '90s lowrider themed kits, and would look far too new on a '69. Original tires? According to the review comments on the recently resissued OG '60 Ranchero, the wheels and tires are larger than 13": http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76500&p=1070859 Considering how few AMT/MPC kits would need to be reissued with 13" tires, I'm not surprised AMT just went with what they did.
  16. Try putting latex or nitrile gloves on instead, so the gloves don't absorb the lotion. The gloves will keep the moisture against your hands, too.
  17. ...the time has come for revenge of the nerds. I think this was Oingo Boingo?
  18. The Commodores, Sail On.
  19. Nice review, Chris, thank you. I can't think of any other kit which ever included a quiver, fireplace, and Thermos container. Nice to see the stock hubcaps are included, too. There is no rear bumper included, correct?
  20. Yes, but that was existing product, most likely even already packaged in the old Lindberg boxes, New and not-all-that-Old Stock. This new release is only the second(?) Lindberg automotive kit to be released with (assumed) new box art, like the Little Red Wagon Dodge A-100 kit. I have seen both new and old boxes of the same LRW on store shelves, so I'm guessing Round2 is trying to clear or has cleared out any remaining dead stock they acquired with their purchase of Hawk/Lindberg. Plus, this new kit has a different stock number than the previous Lindberg kit, and should be available at more places than just the Autoworld store.
  21. Looks like there was a series of Mitsubishi construction equipment vehicles:
  22. I see (in someone's avatar...you know who you are ) the 1/25 Lindberg '66 Chevelle Super Sport kit is about to be reissued very soon, so until Round2 puts something up on their 'site, super-hobby has some very shots of the included parts from the last go 'round: http://www.super-hobby.com/products/1966-Chevy-Chevelle-Super-Sport.html IIRC this one one of Lindberg best offerings during their brief renaissance back in the '90s, so I'm looking forward to seeing how Round2 packages this kit this time around.
