Feeling motivated (thanks, Jeff), I got work making the other rear leaf spring, as well as the remaining leaves on the side I previously started. The eye bending went smoothly, so I removed any burrs after trimming each leaf to length, then rounded all the long edges over slightly to ensure there'll be a small shadow between each leaf: Comparison shot of the new brass (missing the lowest/shortest leaf) and old styrene leaf springs: I also removed the molded on spring saddle brackets from the equalizing beams, drilled out the pivot bores at both ends, and test fit some brass tubing in the bores: It's always good to make progress.

As in Tom West, or someone else with the same surname at AMT? Not sure if this Vega Panel Wagon Truck on display at the '71 Chicago Auto Show is pulling a Westcraft boat or not. Looks like it has a front mounted engine unlike the rear engined Westcraft in the '64 ElCo kit:

This is the kit I was thinking of Dwayne: There are parts pack engines from Revell and AMT (a few of which are currently available), this is the only engine from a kit manufacturer offered separately which I can think of.

Andy might recognize this '73 or '74 Charger, and the elderly gentleman who drives it year 'round. I spy it once a year or so, and happened to catch it/him a few days ago:

There are some separately available engines from Fujimi(?), but very few, and I can't think of any other "major" kit manufacturers who offer just the engines from their kits. I suggest you buy the kit, then sell whatever is leftover that you don't want. Depending upon the kit, you may actually make a little money after all is said and done.

I don't think I've seen any, as each would have to be individually fit to and shaped for the specific vehicle they are used on. I would suggest trying your hand at making one using some styrene strip and tube.
