Here's one for the Trekkies. Good CA blue plate to use when building the AMT '64 Galaxie, too. Gregg would approve. ? "December 29, 1964: STAR TREK’s original eleven-foot Enterprise parked outside Volmer Jensen’s Production Models Shop in Burbank, California" -
Yes, it was originally a PYRO kit. The PYRO box art is much more appealing, but maybe for the next motorcycle I'll hold out for an original issue.

I've been eyeing a few of the motorcycles in this series for a while, so I decided to take the plunge, starting with this one.

The AMT '71 Plymouth Duster 340 also includes a separate wiper motor, but I can't tell if it's the part you have after looking at the not-all-that-detailed instruction sheet. Maybe someone with that kit and/or part can make that determination.

Looks like the wiper motor from the AMT '71 Dodge Charger R/T, Lee. Just compared it to one I have on hand, and it appears to be the same.

Street Outlaws, Fastest in America
Casey replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That kind of proves my point. What type of legitimate racer would be okay racing on a closed off street instead of a dragstrip designed to contain these vehicles in the event of an accident? There's a reason NHRA etc. have been promoting safe, responsible racing since the '50s, and for a reality TV show to come along and glamorize fake racing on the street is not helpful to any legitimate fan of drag racing and lowers the bar, rather than raising it. You can't be too much of an outlaw when towns are passing ordinances ahead of time, and local police are blocking off public roads. Sure, some of the people on the show now might put butts in the stands, but so do plenty of real racer who understand their responsibility to the sport they love. Cheap dollars, internet/social media fame is fleeting...just ask those dudes from that duck show, and countless other reality shows which came and went. Like I said I understand the appeal of reality TV, but sometimes the damage they do to related legitimate groups and organizations isn't as visible, takes longer to undo, and doesn't get any facebook likes. https://www.hotcars.com/heres-whats-fake-street-outlaws/ -
I read through that topic a few times, but I didn't see anyone explicitly say they had done just that, so I don't think anyone has tied it yet. I agree with the others that it *should* fit, but probably needs some material removed in various places for a really good fit.

I think this'd be worth your time to read through:

The Revell kit, like so?: If so, much better than the simplified MPC Country Charger. The Revell kits are glue-together, with higher pars count, and overall better. Any 1/25 Revell '68 or '69 Charger (excluding the original long out of production Pro Modeler '69 Charger R/T kit, which had a too-low roofline) is excellent. Review of the earlier (mostly the same) kit here: If it's the AMT F&F version you are considering, run away. Avoid it at all costs, as it's a hot mess:

Canadians will be apologizing for making it public first. ? Just happened to see it listed last night. I was a bit surprised to see it so soon, but glad they decided to release a Hardtop.

Not the best image, but the front 5-slot wheels from the 1/25 MPC '32 Ford Sedan Delivery are close, and the kit was reissued a few months ago, so it's not difficult to source. The rear wheels are too deep, but two sets of front wheels should work: This kit: Have a look at Chris' video here:

Correct, it hasn't been reissued by Round2 yet, so maybe their plan is to upgrade all if the existing Craftsman style kits. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Street Outlaws, Fastest in America
Casey replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have have seen parts of various episodes-- enough to understand what the show is about and know it's not something I'd choose to spend my time watching. The formula for reality shows is rather straightforward by now, and like I said, while I understand why it appeals to the masses, it's still disappointing to see the amped up drama, staged shoots, and promotion (or at the very least, encouragement) of street racing on an automotive themed show. -

The 1/25 AMT #983 '57 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop kit includes rear fender skirts for sure: It was available molded in both red and white plastic:
