  1. Yes indeed and their bodies were the most accurate. Thank you
  2. This is a box stock mpc kit with aftermarket decals. This kit really builds up into a nice looking funny car. It would be cool to see it ressiued with the clear body parts. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
  3. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it seems like more people build door cars than dragsters and altereds . That’s me included though it may be a shifting demographic in age
  4. Wow what a great level of detail and talent ! Building pro mods is so out of my wheelhouse. But I loved watching them run at ATCO’S night of thrills some really great memories there
  5. What’s not to love here let’s start with the ram tube intake , the headers, the hand mixed paint, hand lettering, spot on body mod’s, detailed chassis, and everything else. It’s just so bitchin . Great work!
  6. It came out really nice those headers can be a real pain in the neck. I can remember when that kit was reissued in the early nineties. I was in my early twenties I went completely nuts , and bought 10 of them
  7. If you don’t already have one good luck getting the revell Sox & Martin kit they’re way too pricey for being a pretty current release. I think the decals are available from Billy gooche while I’m not positive I think his daughter still prints them out
  8. I got the decals on eBay . Just search yesteryear decals
  9. I got this as a started work in progress the body was already painted and decaled so I don’t have much information on the colors or decal maker. Although I think at one time you could get them from Billy gooche. The kit is the johan Sox & Martin kit with resin cast slotted wheels. Other wise it’s all out of the box. Being that I didn’t have to mess with the body this made for a nice easy build. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
  10. This spring’s projects
  11. The amt gremlin kit with a jimmy flintstone body , parts box wheels, painted in testors enamel , and topped off with the new slixx decals. Until next time thanks for looking ?,
  12. The lettering on old race cars wasn’t usually of as high gloss as the body . I’m right with you I don’t normally apply gloss over the decals either. I do find that light coats work better.
  13. I really like the decals on your Vega . This is such a nice building kit. Nice job
  14. This came out really nice great paint detail. Love the heavy metal flake.
  15. Nice restoration it came out superb those headers look just right and with a good fit
  16. This is truly amazing work with a incredible amount of detail. It makes me wish I had taken more time on the one I built to move the front wheels forward. That shade of custom mixed orange/red looks spot on as does the blue interior color. The injection on the big block is really well done, and you have the just right all important stance. A great example of the fastest Chevrolet on planet Earth in 1965
  17. This started out as the mpc Dyno don kit painted with tamyia white topped with their clear pearl . I found these decals from a eBay seller. The hemi , and wheels came from my parts box. This is a kit that builds into a nice replica, and the chassis lends itself to a lot of resin bodies. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
  18. This is a rebuild of a kit that I originally built when I was about 16 you could still buy these great johan kits at your local hobby shop. I repainted the body and topped it with slixx decals. As for the interior, chassis, and engine I left it as it was even though the orange is the wrong engine color. It definitely looks better the second time around. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike Happy Memorial Day everyone
  19. It looks great ? just like an old gasser should. That’s a beautiful paint job by the way.
  20. That’s nice work on a great kit
  21. This is the fantastic polar lights kit with testors lacquer topped off with decals from the talented Chuck Bohner . The rear wheels are from my parts box. This is a nice replica of a east coast funny car . I guess you could call Englishtown NJ. Their home track.
  22. This started out with the johan Sox & Martin pro stock 71 cuda . I modified the grill with a leftover grill from the revell 70 cuda to try and make it look more like a 72 grill. I also drilled out the tail lights to make two round ones. The slotted wheels came from the amt Willy’s pick up coke kit. The paint is testors black enamel topped off with slixx decals . The hood is from comp. Resions. Thanks for looking ? , Mike
  23. Wow lots of great details in there . l love that photo etched grill the wheel detail is just amazing really nice 64 . Thanks for posting
  24. You might want to try the tamyia mica blue
  25. This is just a cool line up that I’ve spent a span of 30 years to build as I’m a huge Dyno don fan. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Mike
