Carolina Freight Ford F8000

It's done! I was just looking at the WIP! Nice detailing on the engine, it adds a lot of interest. A striking livery, done with neat paintwork and a red frame that shows off the details that would be hidden in the standard black, good choice! Resin is such a challenge to work with but you succeeded admirably! -

So simple, never thought of it before and now I have a another use for it, thank you! -

Love the engine plumbing, I may have to try that next time I build it, it needs some help to make it interesting! Neat look to the unit with that skinny cab they used for medium duty, so nice to see one of these replicated! -

I really like the realistic wood planks, fasteners and all, and the deck looks like the skids we sometimes see in more modern times. A close up view of those wipers reveals them to be soldered brass just bent to pivot in their mounting holes, very clever! Those mirrors look a lot more complicated, both the mount on the cowl and the swiveling head (or so it seems), very realistic even up close. Nice view of that treadplate, too, thank you! Gotta try it -

Well, if that's all it is...I was just wondering how the foil keeps it shape when being glued, I usually use a firm hand to get a good bond, can't have parts falling off -

There is a 1/72 scale kit with the F-1 fuel trailer and it looks pretty nicely detailed for its small scale... you can see the sprue contents at the link https://ca.super-hobby.com/products/WWII-USAAF-8th-Air-Force-Bomber-Resupply-Set.html -

Love that engine! Too nice to hide, like most of this chassis I just found a potential spot for those checkerplate steps. how does one do those and wrap the edge -
Building a New York taxi from the Revell Caprice Snap Kit

So that's what you can do with a Snap Kit? Pretty impressive! You sure brought out all the chassis and engine details with paint, drybrushing and washes, amazing! -

Wow, just look at that engine! It really stands out next to the olive drab of the chassis! Not sure if the chassis is weathered or not, but it looks great as is! Lots of little widgets that stand out too, the fine detail means little need for the washes often used to bring out such details, everything replicated in miniature, thanks for the sharp photos, too! -

Nice to see you dig this old kit up and do it justice! Quality workmanship at that! I have collected all of this series and had planned to do police, fire, taxi, Caprice and Impala versions, then there's the Alternomad and wagon conversion, so inspiring to see you doing this -

Pretty neat how those front wheels turn, I suspect sorcery! Saw a video about cutting brass strips from sheet by scoring and then fatiguing the grooved metal in a vise. The width of the vise was extended with aluminum angle but I have an inexpensive aluminum bending brake that would work too. Of course, stacked styrene strips for a leaf spring is an easy option for us hacks that can't solder, LOL So much detail going into this, thanks for sharing the journey! -

Coming along nicely! Neat how the engine is just simple shapes, but you have to know where to put them, LOL! Pretty amazing you can make it look so realistic, that cylinder head is a masterpiece -

Great job! You make it sound easy! Love the trim and details added to the basic box, and the checker plate bumper. Interesting idea for the double rims, seems simple enough and it works! -

Love the precision of that chassis and grille! You make modeling an art form -
I got the kit recently after seeing the MK I featured on the British mystery "Endeavour" on PBS. Hope mine turns out as fine as yours! Very neatly built and detailed, and well deserving of the excellent photography too

Very impressive! Such neat work on the kit and conversion looks like straight out of the box! Well, maybe excepting the added engine compartment detail, you nailed the details, more quality workmanship there! -
