  1. Super clean. The interior colour compliments that stunning body colour. The wheels tie it all together. ??
  2. Excellent build Mario. Those photos look straight out of the movie. Well done. ??
  3. Funny you should say that. My very first kit was a 1/32 Cadillac hearse which had a beatnik surfer theme.
  4. Thanks David. I've got some crazy ideas for the paint. Candies, metallics and graphics. Stay tuned.??
  5. Hi guys, cab interior is finished. I painted it Hobby Color H37 wood brown over Tamiya ts46 light sand. I shaped some styrene sheet for the door card trim and glued them in. The dash was treated to some extra gauges and tacho. Every thing else, except for the door controls, are from the parts box. Next will be paint. Cheers, David. ??
  6. GM Holden ceased production 2 years ago and as a result the prices for them have gone through the roof. Here's a pic of a more modern version.
  7. They all look good. Mock-up is fun isn't it! ??
  8. I think the beading would look good too. For the wheel well maybe try something with the 37 fenders. Maybe you could cut them in half to fit flush against the panel. Also I like the idea of a 427 power plant. Cheers, David. ??
  9. Thanks Mathias, in Australia we had the panel van. It was a mix between an El Camino and a van. Cheers, David. ? ? P.S. 1st pic is GM Holden, 2nd pic is Chrysler Valiant and 3rd pic is Ford Falcon.
  10. Hi guys, the bad stance was caused by the front tracking being too wide. I've shortened the axle stubs now and it all sits how I wanted it to.
  11. Time for an update guys. The wheels are Chevy rallies from the Monogram 78 El Camino kit which were given a splash of black wash. Tyres are from the parts box. I used the wheel backs from the 37 kit with styrene inner spacers to make them fit. The front sits a little higher than anticipated but looks OK. Rolling chassis done. Next will be the interior. Cheers, David. ??
  12. Thanks David. It's tamiya ts44 brilliant blue. The graphics are from the kit's decal sheet. Again, thanks for your kind words. Cheers, David. ? ?
  13. G,day Robbie. Loving the goldie. I've built this kit but mine didn't have opening doors. Again, loving the 58's. Here's a picture of mine. Cheers, David. ??
  14. G,day Robbie. Nice dart. In Australia this car was called the valiant pacer and was the only muscle car offered by Chrysler Australia at that time. Again, nice build. Love the colour choice. ??
  15. Here's my static built Revell 77 Chevy van. The reason it's static is due to a set of wheels I purchased on ebay. They were advertised as 1/24 scale but looked more like 1/18. Disappointed I decided to push on. After some thought I decided on the van as it was a big body which may just work. So after quite a bit of cutting I ended up with this. All comments and / or criticism's encouraged. Cheers, David. ??
  16. Nice build. I'll be following this one. If you get a chance check out my WIP 37 Ford Panel. ??
  17. I cut open the firewall and sunk it back a little. It just needs some putty work on the gaps now. I made up a single forward engine mount and built it up until it all lined up. So that's the engineering finished. Next will be the wheels. Cheers,David.??
  18. I got the engine to fit with a few modifications. I shortened the bell housing and cut off the end shaft of the gearbox. I also removed the shaft between the blower and the air scoop and replaced the straight pipe headers with regular performance headers.
  19. G'day Alan, cool build. To transform stock to hotrod is always fun. I'm currently building the 37 ford panel delivery by revell as a street rod. It's posting on WIP Commercial vehicles. I'm in Albury, NSW. Have you heard of a model parts supplier called 'The Parts Box '. They have some good stuff including a nine inch. Again, cool hotrod. Cheers, David.
  20. OK. Thanks Alex, I'll give it a go.
  21. FYI, The model in the first photo is not mine. I would hate to breach copyright. ?
  22. Progressing on to engine placement now. I'm hoping to use the Micky Thompson built 'attempt 1' Pontiac Tempest 4 cylinder supercharged engine which I had pre built years ago. It will take a bit of work to make it fit. Wish me luck guys. ??
  23. Welcome Matt. Nice detail in your builds.
