You can purchase both primer and clear coat from Scale Finishes. I use Tamiya primer under Scale Finishes paint with no problems, for both their enamels and base coats.

How about a grille for the "69 'cuda? The grille in the amt/mpc kit is awful.

Looks great, I have the exact same project stalled for the last 5 years. I am using the Duster chassis as well. I agree we need a 3d printed grill, those tiny headlights are why the project has stalled.

Fireball redlines are beautiful, paint with flat red acrylic. If you don't want to paint the redlines, Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has a couple sets of resin redlines w/ separate red resin redline insert.

What is the problem with Jameston? I have placed orders with him for several years, but lately, every couple weeks since last fall. They have all arrived 3-4 weeks from placing the order, including one custom order I emailed him about. Never had a problem with receiving orders, a couple times the color seemed off, a free replacement was sent shortly after contacting him. Sure in the beginning the turn around time was a few days and now it is a couple weeks, no big deal it always arrives.

Not true, I have ordered custom colors several times with fantastic results. A couple were mixed to samples I sent him and another was an obscure color for the 300SL gullwing.

Why bother with what appears to be a "questionable" new paint company. We have many choices already available: Gravity Colors - Awesome service, never had problems. Can't comment on others experience. Scale Finishes - Jameston always come through with awesome paint. I have never had to wait longer than 3-4 weeks for order to ship, most often within a 1-2 weeks. Get yourself a 6" inline hydroponics vent fan. The Michael's near me has barely any models in stock and haven't been updated in a while, tons of empty shelves. Asked the idiot working there, they will restock when they completely run out of model kit inventory. Will likely take forever for the couple snap kits to sell out.

When did you place your order? Mine was in hours before they shut down the website. Wondering how many more months to wait?

Scott doesn't keep a stock of Scale Finishes colors, he will bring a few bottles in each order. You need to tell him what you want and he will order it for you. I haven't ordered from Scott in a while, I have well over a 100+ bottles stocked up of all different colors... need to start using them.

No problems. I have had several orders over the last few months all shipped within 5-10 days. Biggest holdup was customs in Vancouver, it can sit there for several weeks sometimes, normally a couple days.

Looks great. I also have one in progress. The Plamoz kit is very nice to work with.

Does this kit build as gasser only? Are the stock wagon parts included?

Be patient, do a saved search and watch your emails. Within a few days of each other, I picked up 2 unbuilt for under $30 each.

Check eBay for the old Johan kits, they are always available.

What about using something like HOK ice pearls which sparkle in the light, looks like scale metalflake.
