I just noticed this post. Outstanding! Absolutely gorgeous. -
Brittle, take care when fitting tight parts. File chassis a little for easier fitting. Mask up when sanding or grinding. Use CA for attaching anything to it. Wild thickness variations, watch this for window fitment, etc.

That really looks menacing, kudos!

Hemi is looking great!

Great progress, I really could have used an intake like that one?, looking good!
-
That looks fantastic! It is a shame they sold E Town off, I really liked that track.

Thanks Francis, I was trying to experiment with new things. It definitely taught me not to do it again. All the years that I was a tech, I was pretty adept at bending line, but never aluminum in that thickness.

This is really coming together nicely. Can’t wait to see it finished

I have cage 95 percent configured. I planned on making entire cage out of aluminum tube, but main hoop would not cooperate. I tried styrene rod inside tube, bending between two round objects, etc., just kept kinking. Annealing was out of the question( on my meds, there is no way I use a torch). Now, I have to figure rear aluminum panel and the package tray where cage goes through.

’72 Dodge Demon Drag Racer 1/25 scale

You're so nice Keith but I'm afraid I'll disappoint you, I'm just an ordinary guy who likes to complicate his life by making a bunch of parts that you can only really see before they're assembled... But those parts are pure perfection! -
Thank you

That is going to be sick!
-
Yes, and very well done!

Really nice work. I really like your brake line hold downs. Grille came out sweet. Where did you find the fuel pressure regulator?
-
Nice, that AWB is looking really sweet.

Looking great Roger. If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get the door handles off like that? Are they still usable? I want to use aluminum sheet for my Demon panels, but my car still used the original door handles. I would like to get them off without killing them. Also, do you plan on using the resin bumper on the grille, or the one from kit? I noticed that the resin one I have is a terrible fit, and the bumper in my new Demon kit looks so much crisper.

That engine looks too nice to put in a car, work of art. -

Looks great in that color, cool stance.

I think I saw those years ago also. My car had a Victor 340 on it, which is much taller. I have a bunch of single plane big block intakes, but they are short also. Also, this resin engine is larger than others, like the Duster kit. To bring it into scale, it has to rise about .090” off the base. The thickest styrene I have is .080, so I used the thick one and a section of .020 and tapered it down. At the time of the pic, it was not sanded out very well, is looking better, but still at it. Thank you for your idea.
