  1. Exciting!!! Thanks buddy!
  2. Haha, Brett knows the trade secrets! Any update on the ETA of the Rommel's Rod at all Brett?
  3. Ohhhh, you have REAL ones? Nice!!!! I'm envious! These aren't on sale quite yet, I don't think - but Mike (3d Scale Parts) is talking about having them resin cast shortly
  4. Got some cool 3d printed showrod tires from 3d Scale Parts: They're a replica of the old Richard Carroll tires from the 60s - really excited to have a set of these!
  5. I'm sorry, couldn't resist
  6. This is KILLER! Jealous that you got the sparkly red Flameout kit too - they're the rare ones!
  7. I liked your first book so much I have two copies! Congrats Tim! Their book on Showrods is great, so I'll definitely pick this up. I'm actually more of a hot rod guy, honestly, but if you don't show publishers that there's interest in model related titles you wont get any more, so...
  8. I've been using a borrowed McDonalds tray for the past four years, so an actual bench will be a real luxury! Space is kind of at a premium in NYC - I cant build anything that takes up more room than a Big Mac and Fries
  9. My fiancee and I signed the lease on our first apartment together! Planning a wedding early next year, and found a nice place in Brooklyn with room enough for a modelling bench at least
  10. Ahhh, I see! That figures! Thanks John! Can't wait to see more!
  11. Absolutely amazing John! You're one of my favorite builders, incredible scratchbuilding ability! I may have missed it, but what's the notch cut out of the driver's seat for?
  12. Ohhhhh, this is cool! I'll be watching!!
  13. What's the plan, Bob?
  14. Ohhhhh, got any pics? I'd LOVE to see that!
  15. Me too! I'd LOVE one of these at sensible prices! I wonder if the tooling still exists?
  16. Interesting! I didn't know all the history behind the Revell UFO - thanks again Brett!
  17. I think it has been re-alcoholled since, yeah. All I meant by my comment before was that if RoG WAS worried about the theme of this Rod, they could pretty easily rename it to the Tank Rod or whatever and suddenly it's more PC, if they were worried about that stuff...
  18. Nothing much to stop them rebranding it the "Army Rod" or something if they were THAT worried, right? I mean, we did have THIS a few years ago so that kids weren't inspired to drink entire barrels of beer after building a model kit
  19. Fascinating to hear that TD kits are so popular too - I figured us showrod builders were the minor-ist of minorities - cool to find out that they STILL sell well 50-60 years on!
  20. This is INCREDIBLY exciting news! Thank you for sharing!! I'll be picking a bunch up, for sure!
  21. Oh wow - LOVE projects like this, with all the scratchbuilding! Outstanding work!
  22. Me too! They've got my $$$ if they reissue ANY of that stuff - even if I've got it already I'll pick up extras to support them
  23. I tried to go to the website link he lists in his profile but it wouldn't work http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/profile/19855-pjtoys/
