That's a great story. I never heard that before. Are you building it in 1/24?

Nice Vette. Really like the under hood detailing. Cool display, too.

Gorgeous custom. Lovely style and great paint. Love the lines.

Sweet Dart! Looking cool, and the vinyl top turned out great.

Super mean looking '55. Very cool. Nice work, MIke.

Good looking Cougar. I really like the colour. Suits it very well. All round nice work.

That's the new standard. Plan for success by keeping the bar low. I blame it on the 'a-prize-for-every-participant' mentality of the last couple decades.

Personally, I think the asymmetrical headers provide a hint of authenticity. As Bill said, they are rarely symmetrical as they are made to fit the space available while trying to maintain specific tube lengths. Also, an odd shaped header may be to avoid a clash with other components such as steering gear, etc. if you do swap headers, be sure the new ones clear all obstacles.

I've got a full detail '72 Torino GT in the planning stages. I'll be using the 429 engine, trans, and rear axle from the Revell '70 Torino. The chassis from the Revell '76 Torino is a logical choice, though I tend towards the path of most resistance so I'm thinking of trying to salvage the kit chassis by cutting away the floor and molded-in suspensions from the frame. There's a good chance I'll reconsider that plan when it comes time to build this thing. The '70 and '76 will provide other bits here and there including the engine bay. Some interior details I've yet to work out. I got some nice looking decals from Ray's.

Maybe I'm just an old curmudgeon, or perhaps I'm a Luddite at heart, but I love it when this stuff happens. -
Loved him in everything he was in. R.I.P Bob. You will be missed.

Do you also have 1:1 project cars?

Nice score Steve, and looks great after your cleaning. If further improvement is desired, black vinyl die in a spray bomb might do the trick. -
want a drag strip?

That was pretty much my thoughts. However, aside from keeping up the maintenance on the Lotus, I wouldn't get much else done. I see me spending a lot of money on tires, too. -
Looking good. Really good radiator texture/detail is something the hobby is missing (or, at least, I have missed it). I have been looking for something PE for years that accurately represents radiator fins, but haven't been thrilled with anything I have seen yet. What I would really like to see is one of the better 3D printers print up a sheet of three-core radiator cores/fins. Then one could easily scratch any size or shape radiator needed by cutting a 'core' from the sheet and adding some easily made tanks.

They seem quite good, though. The link takes you to Team USA markings in 1/24, though the seller offers other nations and scales. -
