  1. Pierre, I am glad you decided to do a WIP on this build. This is my first look at the Revell DB5, a kit I've been quite curious about. Your subtle re-profiling of the roof makes an amazing improvement. Looking great so far. I am curious about the issues with the Monogram (Aurora) DB4. I recently purchased an original issue Aroura DB4 which I do plan to build. I haven't made any assessments regarding the shape of the body. Are the issues significant or glaring?
  2. That's a shame. Hopefully it will clean up. When masking over a panel line, I put a little liquid mask in the groove before laying down the tape to prevent paint seepage.
  3. The OP's question concerns Testors spray cans, which apparently do not work just fine the way they are.
  4. Cool project, Jim. Digging the concept. I see what you mean about the roof, and I like your approach to correct it. I agree regarding the '57. Im not a fan either, never have been, while at the same time I think the '55 is about the nicest looking Chevy ever built. I built the '57 Nomad when I was a kid. Tough to get together cleanly (mine wasn't) but eventually got it together reasonably well. Upon completion, I took it to the kitchen to show it to my mother, who immediately smashed it accidentally (long story). She felt so bad she replaced it with an AMT '55 Nomad, a kit I liked much better and has since become one of my favourite kits.
  5. Very nice GTO, Uwe. The paint looks great as does the colour. It works very well with the redline tires. Well done.
  6. Common period performance wheels in 13" and 14" sizes. Revolution Four Spokes, Aluminum five-slot, Minilites, etc. Accurate steelies in these sizes are also needed. Appropriate period tires (with accurate sidewall text) to fit these wheels are also desperately needed.
  7. The word UNIROYAL can be seen faintly on the sidewall in the photo.
  8. I am having hang-up issues as well. Pages occasionally taking a long time to load. Pictures taking a long time to load, and some not loading at all. And twice today, while commenting on a post, I was kicked back to the forum-section page half way through writing the comment. Weird.
  9. 120 miles per hour!! That must have been terrifying.

Stellar work as always, Charles. Mind-blowing realism. I love checking out your work. There is always so much to see, so many great authentic details. Simply fantastic.
  11. Nice looking ride. The Stude and El Camion elements look great melded together.
  12. Now that is just beautiful. My favourite F1 weapon of all time. You have done a wonderful job with this build, captured the raw beauty and elegant simplicity of the original 49 very nicely. A simply lovely build. I love it!
  13. Another beauty, Matt. A lovely old racer. Very nicely done.
  14. Good looking early Pro/Stock.
  15. The '68 Dart is among my favourite Mopars. You have captured the period vibe nicely. All round good looking Dart.
  16. That's a bold looking '40. Killer stance. Nice work.
  17. Nice little Karmann Ghia. It has a nice period look.
  18. I'm digging the black Imperial, and the Comet wagon is very cool, too.
  19. Very cool! However, it will never pass safety inspection with that busted headlight. Driver looks like he could use a meal.
  20. DO NOT attempt to protect the model with a protective layer of food wrap such as Glad Wrap or Saran Wrap. A few years ago I bought a lot of 14 built kits, all 'protected' with a layer of food wrap. The food wrap stuck to the paint and peeled it off every kit. These kits were not 2K cleared, but I would avoid it nonetheless.
  21. I'm really digging the colour on the Torino.
  22. Looking good. Nice and tidy. It's going to look great in that green.
  23. This is one place where a Molotow pen works really well.
  24. Cool vibe. I dig the weathered finish. Drum kit is a nifty touch.
