  1. What an excellent idea - and looks extremely nice too!
  2. The kit pic is kinda fuzzy but it looks like you nailed it as a replica of your real car. Nice.
  3. Congratulations Brian. Being retired I don't have to worry about the job scene. Best of luck to you.
  4. I voted real because of the valve stems.
  5. Hey Dave, your pickup is looking mighty good. Keep it going!
  6. Update - Sprectra Chrome wasn't too interested in having me down there for such a small application. I was told though that their Magic Chrome is closer to a polished aluminum rather than chrome. The Spectra Chrome is the real chrome look and is a water based system (heard that before?). The cheapest kit for Spectra Chrome is about $2500.00. Maybe I'll try the DupliColor chrome.
  7. They sell a pint of "Magic Chrome" for $175.00. But does it really work? Maybe I can figure a way to get down there - it's about 1.5 - 2 hours south. I sent an email to Spectra Chrome in an attempt to go down and check them out. If they agree, I'll bring some plain stuff and try to get them chromed. There're other places that offer spray chrome if you do a google.
  8. Scale leather upholstery tutorial - bring it on!! I'm ready to learn. Pack plenty of details in there Dave. Looking forward to seeing it and trying it out.
  9. Looking really good Gary.
  10. Bought a '62 Pontiac, .080 Evergreen rod, and a can Testor's dullcote at the LHS and a '60 Chevy Quicksilver at Hobby Lobby with the 40% off coupon. Also got the oil changed in my pickup.
  11. I posted about Michaels 50% off coupon on Saturday. Sign up at both Michaels & Hobby Lobby and they'll email the coupons to you every week.
  12. Whop de do for your Subaru. It looks really cool. Those fenders make it.
  13. I'd like to see something about parts but not a whole car from the ground up. But then I'm assuming you're talking about a rail, and I don't do racecars.
  14. Today's Hobby Lobby online ad has a 40% any one item of regular price. If you haven't signed for Hobby Lobby weekly coupons, you might want to think about it.
  15. Aha - Radio Shack. Next week when I'm up towards Ocala. Thanks. Ignition wire I get from Rick at Scale Dreams. He has lots of colors and they fit through the Model Car Garage wire looms.
  16. Yeah Grandpa. Keep us posted. And there's concern for Gregg in Hawaii too.
  17. Looks like a factory original. Sweet.
  18. Hope everyone will be okaay and there's not too much damage.
  19. I like your .o62 solder headers gary but haven't found that size solder. I like your Evergreen rod headers Roger and was wondering if you answer a question or more? Do you work the rod together off the engine or drill the heads, glue the rod and work one pipe at a time?
  20. I can't believe how bad you guys are!!! Is this why I love it here so much? Oh well. Too bad. So Sad. I have to turn off the computer soon. Did my 1.5 mile walk, sitting herre drinking my 1st Jim Beam & RC. It's time to go outside for a butt and then heat up the oven for pizza. Then it's popcorn and WWE!! Yeah baby. Tomorrow is a golf outing fundraiser so I probably won't get on the computer until mid-afternoon - I can't wait to read what you guys come up with next.
  21. The Jefferson's? No. Flo from the Progressive Insurance commercials. Can you believe this thread started about leather interiors? How well we degress - and so quickly.
  22. Sounds like telephone wire, Weasel.
  23. You got that right. Most, if not all, car mags run pics of georgeous women in every issue. I saved the pic of the babe with that red car you posted. Oh. Besides Natalya, I also have an autographed pic of Flo.
  24. Here's me with Natalya at O'Hare Airport in Chicago last month. Sorry. No leather.
