How about one of the Old's engines from one of the Pro Stock kits, you could fab a single four intake for it, & change to a TH 400, or fab up your own EFI unit for it, that would be a little different direction than most would think of. (guess it just takes a deranged mind to think of that much horsepower in that "little coupe").

1/25 Revell '70 Plymouth HEMI 'Cuda 2'n1

Friends, you have to remember, this is a test shot, how many test shots of the Hudson & Chrysler 300 C did we see before they hit the shelves, & it was a lot longer than 8 0r 9 months, this is why we shouldn't bash a kit, or the time frame until we see the finished product in our hot little hands, a lot can change before we actually see a finished product. I for one can put up with a few delays if they are going to address a few problems in the meantime. -
I know that someone with a better memory than me will correct me, but the only 1/25 scale '57 Chevy drop top I can remember came from AMT, & it was a downsize of their 1/16 kit, but yet Revell has this kit listed for release next year, & it doesn't say that it is new tooling. Something wrong with their listing, or did they release this in the '60's, (I was there but most of it was spent in a party atmosphere,& I don't really remember it all) & I forgot about it?

Got mine on Tuesday, when I called to see if they were in yet, they only got two in, out of six they ordered so I got mine (the first of at least three I want for parts to build a few ideas), after checking out the contents, I can see a lot of these greenhouses showing up on some '51 Chevy Bel-Air kits, & at least a few of those grilles showing up on some period customs, now, where did I put that old Anglia kit, I want the short block with the Hydra-matic to build a model of the coupe my late cousin owned in the sixties. Just disappointed that we didn't get the 3x2 set up there are at least two copies of relatives cars that had that set up on'em that I want to build as surprise gifts. Got any ideas as to how & duplicate the old transparent red fuel line tubing from back then, & the red spark transparent red spark plug wires also? Thanks for all of the ideas I know I'll get. -

So, I didn't see an answer to the question about the J-2 parts that were shown in the pictures comparing the final version to the test shot version. Aren't these included in this kit? They appeared to be the carbs, intake,& an extra set of valve covers, possibly the ones with the "bumps" for high lift cams so the rockers wouldn't hit the valve covers. -

It's a J2 3x2 setup, the carbs appear to be two parters, with an upper & a lower part, & the manifold & possibly the valve covers for the high lift cams? (we can always hope), this should be a popular engine, as there were a lot of "oldies" that used the Olds engines, I have plans for one to go into an early sixties Super-Modified racecar, with the 4x2 manifold & carbs borrowed from the Revell Cadillac parts pack engine. -

Real!! But still beautiful, even from a three year old standpoint, I just wish I was rich enough to have been able to bid on it when it sold. Does anyone no who it went to or where it is now? The Deora is still one of Chrysler's best looking rides ever, could be because it contains so many Ford parts in its construction? -

As was stated earlier, the only snag is the roof being molded separately, & that really wouldn't be considered much of a snag if they hadn't molded the rear package shelf intact with the roof assembly. This makes it a little more work for those of us that want to put the roof on first, before painting, to do this you either need to remove the package tray, or paint the interior of the roof & tray first the assemble the body for paint & mask off the windows & interior of the roof before going on with the rest of the finish & paint sequence. If you can get hold of the R&D Unique Model A chassis kit, (any will do) you can make a well detailed contemporary Street Rod out of this one. Have fun & enjoy a welcome addition to the re-issue catalog. -

I think I have to say model on this one, there are just to many things that don't look like they're quite the right size under close examination. -
Since I don't see the dipstick, (they are on different sides on the 348 & 409) & the castings on the block aren't that detailed (the 409's have an X cast in the block under the drivers side head on the front of the block) I really can't tell if it's the 409, or a nice 348, so I think I'll go with the kit's 348.

I guess so, maybe that is the reason they are no longer around? Suffered from the old "head in the sand" syndrome, & "if I don't like it no one will" problem. -

I'm going against the grain on this one, I think the paint build up on the lower edge of the door is just a bit to much for it to be a real car, & I think the panel alignment is just a little too far out of range for a car of this quality. -
If I can find them I still have a nice set of Slixx decals to build either car.

First, I know it's too late now, but on the 1:1 car/truck? the panels were open, as to the dash problem, why not take a que from the real car, & support the dash from the cowl section? Just my opinion, but that would seem to be the logical choice. Keep up the great job, Lookin' good! -
