  1. if you cast this tire in hard resin so you could remove the writing on the sidewall then cast that version, it might interest some of circle track racers that might want to change the brand of tire for their use.
  2. That's the real one, I don't think the model is for sale
  3. I have to say it's a model, or that antennae is the industrial heavy duty version :P
  4. The two kits are virtually identical the only real difference is in the coupe body, personally I preferred the unchopped body, but that's just my opinion
  5. You can get VERY close in color with Testors 1965 Chevrolet, Evening Orchid, I believe that the original was a Lincoln color, but you could probably contact Gene Winfield on his web site, he was the one that did the repaint on the restoration a couple of years ago.
  6. I vote that if they do re-issue on of the Pinto kits that they do the '71 AMT kit, it is the only small bumper kit that was issued as a sedan, all of the other '71-'73 kits were all Runabout's but the best sedan body is the '74 MPC 3in1 release, it can be combined with any of the '71-'73 kits to make a well optioned sedan, the AMT sedan is a "plain Jane" issue, with no "glamour" options, where the MPC kit has them all.
  7. That '74 3 in 1 MPC kit along with the early bumpers, & valances makes a real nice little sedan, just like the real one I used to have (the first of about 6 sedans & 3 Runabouts, & 2 wagons.)
  8. that front half of the panel, & a little bashing can result in a fairly good looking '32 Chevy coupe, that might be worth the price of admission alone.
  9. I'll second that emotion!
  10. If you have ever seen on of the older releases of a Steve Kinser car, just put that picture in your mind, & add the graphics for the Bass Pro Shops version to it nothing new here but decals & no name tires (now that the Goodyears are right again, they are gone, but you can sub some from any of the other kits)..
  11. These chassis are really quite easy to update into a "reasonable" rendition of a newer car, but it will take quite a bit of extra underhood work to update the engine & it's associated pieces into a modern car. This version is of Steve's 2010-2011 version car, he still drove his own car in 2009. with very little work the tail tank from one of the Kurtis midget kits can be made into a fair, but closer version of a modern tail.
  12. You need to remove the lettering on the frame rail & then it will be easy to paint the whole chassis .
  13. No doubt as soon as the air clears, & small animals & children stop cowering, & feel safe to re-enter the area
  14. That's quite obvious, he wasn't.
  15. Gee, & all this time we've been told that there wasn't a difference, that they took the standard coupe body, & kinda shuffled it off the main line, where they removed the roof, & proceeded from there as if it hadn't missed a step.... Where were we (& that lonely coupe) led astray?
  16. I really like it, but WHERE'S OUR CHRYSLER? sorry for yelling, jut got carried away I guess.
  17. See, I knew that it was real!
  18. If you don't count the Inferno Orange ones that is. tee heee
  19. As far as I know the 1/16th scale Chargers from Round2 are the only big MoPars out there.
  20. I think you're right, getting older & the feeble old brain just don't work quite as well as it used to, but most of the other stuff does, & that's what's really important. After all if you can't remember it, you can try more often,,,,,,,right? Ignore my later post, I hadn't got to yours yet. lol, there's that brain deal again
  21. Oh Pooh! Does anyone else remember the kit I'm talking about, it was colored in bright red on the box, & is based loosly on a T Truck.
  22. Do I see some possible carbon fiber decaling coming in the future installments?
  23. I remember when I used to spend my summers at an aunts house in Los Banos California, that there was a local CHP officer that also had a performance shop/gas station, & was a MoPar man, well anyway, he had one of these trucks with a short bed buckets, console the whole magilla, except one big difference, his had a 426 wedge with the good heads, & one of those cool cross ram 2 four barrel manifolds, that was one quick truck, he had a 3" pipe rear bumper with screw on caps so he could add or subtract weight from the rear of the truck.
  24. I really like this one it looks like the ones that were parked in the lot when I was in High School. But unless after almost 50 years my memory is starting to fade, isn't the foot pedal supposed to for the right foot?
  25. I love your idea, there's a lot that can be done with these "Barn Finds" lol
