  1. Thanks for the positive feedback, John. I have continued work on this on a continuous basis. I've added the fuel pump and oil reservoir to complete the engine. I am showing you the files as I've only just begun the assembly.

    1958 belvedere.

You did exceptionally fine work on detail. Everything was great until you showed under the hood. The problem is the engine. Two things. It's the wrong color. Plymouth engines in 1958 were silver. The 318 poly A block engine valve covers were gold. 2nd thing, it is a combo of the A block and B block. As a request of a member of this forum in circa 1916, I created a correct A block engine for this model and I assume that you weren't aware of these things. The single 4 bbl version exists in my 59 Plymouth convertible. The substitution of a raised block B engine with trans attached is also not accurate, as it could be a 727 trans. The 58 user the old cast iron A-488 trans. Some members of this forum possess my A block version.
  3. Phrozen is a leader in producing quality 3d resin printers. I have both the original Shuffle and the Shuffle xl plus the recently realest Sonic mini. I bought the mini on it's release in February of this year for $369+ including shipping from Phrozen. It's both faster and accurate. Currently, you can buy it off Amazon for around $300.00. It prints faster, the lcd panel lasts longer and it's a Phrozen. Check out the Facebook page. They sell out fast. Photon users are saying that it's prints are better plus being much faster. By buying the Sonic Mini, you are buying into the current technology.
  4. The first group I saw was Smokey Robinson and the Miricles in 1961. I'm from Northwest Detroit suburbs, so I saw a number of singers and groups.
  5. I've had 2 large trees removed from my property in the last 4 years. The first guy always high balls you with $1500. You shop around and then start bargaining. One cost me $400 and the other $350.
  6. To me, the situation relates to this. You vehicle gets hit. The resale value of it goes down. You go through the mess of getting it fixed. Your house gets damaged. Same thing. Insurance companies don't care who's at fault. Make a claim, your rate goes up. My attitude to the problem is to take care of it before it be comes a problem. Nip it in the bud.
  7. Sorry for you loss Rob, but somewhere out there is another Zoie needing you.
  8. Tom, some people just can't see the real problem which is the tree and the danger it represents to you. If it were me, I would meet with your new neighbor and explain your concern to them if you didn't already. Tell them that you could force the issue, but you understand that they were miss lead. At that point, offer to remove the tree with their written permission as a house warming or welcoming to the neighborhood gift. A positive approach will be far more effective than a negative one.
  9. I have been pondering on a way to get the raised letters on the hub caps to show. If you look at my reference pics above, you can barely detect the red lettering on the caps. The letters on my cap are 1 mm in size. I sprayed the cap with a can of brilliant aluminum and used a small sanding stick to bare the letters. The resin is a dark red cherry color. How does it look?
  10. My point is simple. We should be able to afford ourselves the luxury of ad free access and still be able to contribute to the on going access to this forum. The year is 2020. It's time the admin moves to this time period.
  11. Whatever. I hope you make the location of the door handle better than this one. oops
  12. Maybe arrogant wasn't the right word. I use an ad blocker which also blocks trackers. These trackers are what determine what ads you see. I changed my internet tv access to a Roku streamer about 2 years ago. Many channels will allow access without ads for a nominal monthly $2 on fee. I would not be adverse to the ability to contribute a small yearly fee of $25 in support of the site.
  13. So, you have seen the test prints. Let's look at the final prints. This resin is what I use for end results as it gives me the quality of detail that I am looking for. Having a printable cad file is not enough. You need knowledge of the 3d printers, what they can produce and knowledge of the resins and what they can produce. This is the bottom view. I keep the wall thickness at or near 1.6 millimeters.
  14. Why are you having a problem printing this?
  15. So, let's take a look at some of the finished product. I enlarged the wheels as suggested and they look much better. The frame has been done long ago. I thought you might like to take a close look at the front end. Notice the coil springs. This is one 3d print.
  16. What it looks like without supports. Fits the frame perfectly.
  17. I'm out of epoxy glue so I went on line last Friday and ordered 3 5 minute sets at $13.05 a pop and free shipping. They came today
  18. This is not the best resin I use. The resin I use for final prints creates much finer detail. Anyone who has received one of my 318 engines can attest to the fact. This resin cost around $100.00 per 1 kg. The resin I use for final prints cost $140.00 per 1 kg. Thus, I do practice prints with less costly resin to create the model into the final product I want.
  19. Just for my information. Are you building this Stock?
  20. From Wikipedia -GM Roto Hydramatic transmission "The Roto Hydramatic was used in all full-sized Oldsmobile models including the Dynamic 88, Super 88, Ninety-Eight and Starfire from 1961-1964 as well as the compact Oldsmobile F-85 from 1961-1963. Pontiac used the Roto Hydramatic from 1961-1964 on its shorter-wheelbase full-sized cars including the Catalina, Ventura and Grand Prix, but continued with the older four-speed Super Hydramatic design in the longer-wheelbase Star Chief and Bonneville models."
  21. Beautifully done Randy. If I ever need a set, I will know where to find them.
  22. I connected the front clip and body files together and printed it out. This gives you a first hand look at how it is done. All of the supports have to be removed to get the final product. This was done on my Phrozen XL printer.
  23. Thanks for the compliment. The 34 had flat windshield. The 35 had a v windshield and was the first year for the all steel turret to. This is the car I used for reference.
