  1. I use a tin-cure silicone r.t.v. from Smooth-On called Mold Max. It's made for making molds on various types of resin. Also I don't need to use a mold release agent. The u.v. cured resin I use to create prints on my 3d printers is very brittle and small, thin parts can break off easily. Be vary gentle removing the part from the mold and you should be o.k.
  2. I totally agree with the no sale. Every reason I can think of for not doing has been stated.
  3. I never noticed before, but my Ubuntu Linex uses Chromium and not Chrome. So I've been unknowingly using Chromium all along. No wonder it works so well.
  4. A couple of weeks ago I loaded an add on called Privacy Badger to Chrome. It stops trackers. It also stopped these pictures from being viewed. I turned it off for this sight and one other and all is well.

  7. I'm also on Linux. Firefox is a turtle and Chrome flies. It's always been that way. I'm running Adblock Plus and Privacy Badger and Chrome still flies.
  8. Enjoy your retirement Marty. I retired at 62. I'll be 73 in January. I have to agree with Rich though. My motivation isn't as great as it once was.

  11. As far as any kit manufacturers issuing any new 50's kits, I can't see it. When Modelhaus was in business,at least you could get a resin copy of a desired year car. Even at that, it is far from a kit. Here is my list of model kits I would like to build. How many do you think would be even be considered to garner enough demand to manufacture? 1955-56 Plymouth 1955-56 Pontiac 1955-56-57-58 Dodge 1956-57-59 Olds 1957-58-59 Chrysler New Yorker 1957-58-59 DeSoto Fire Flite This is not a wish list. It's my to do list. All will have a rolling detailed chassis, Engine bays complete with correct engine and detailed interior. It has been my opinion for a number of years that, the only way to get a model kit of a subject you want to build, is to create it yourself. In order to do this, you need to have certain skills.
  12. Under lacquers no. Over lacquers yes.
  13. Well, all went well except I have no power. The storm did a god job of trimming up the branches of my trees. Nothing now but boredom as everything I want to do tacks power. I don't care for this cell phne version.
  14. I am working on fixing a number of warped promos that I have resin cast. It's a very slow and tedious task but, should be worth the effort.
  15. Those who don't know what Ray is talking about, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/126000-hurricane-irma/. We wait, not knowing our fate.
  16. USA Today crossword and jigsaw puzzle will not load without shock wave enabled.
  17. Firefox uses a plug in called shockwave flash. It slows down your browser on this forum. Chrome doesn't use it. You can disable it in Firefox, but Chrome is much faster on my laptop.
  18. Mine is LibreOffice spreadsheet on Linux Ubuntu o.s. I can save it as an excel file.
