Absolutely stunning.

Moebius has two sets with super singles, one set with two steer wheels and four rear wheels, and one set with four trailer wheels: Otherwise Jamie at Moluminum, KJ at Double Take Replicas, Auslowe and KFS also has wide floatation steer wheels in resin, check them out if you want to get only two wheels for the front axle.

Revell Peterbilt 359 snap kit question
Force replied to JerseeJerry55's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
You have to add 17 to your 20, the 1:25 Peterbilt 359 and Kenworth W900 Aerodyne snap kits were listed as new in the 1982 Monogram catalog and later issued under the Revell name...so it's 37 years since they were first issued. Time flies. -
I like it a lot.

A small block Ford engine is tiny in the real world too...the outside dimensions of a 221-260-289-302 is approximately 27.5" long including a short waterpump, 18.75" wide and 20.75" high, the 351 Windsor wich is from the same family is the same 27.5" length, but 2.25" wider at 21" as the deck on the 351 is taller, and it's 23.75" high.

Revell Peterbilt 359 snap kit question
Force replied to JerseeJerry55's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
And got rid of those much too shallow rear wheels. -
The wheelbase should be the same, the "Big Stick" wrecker body is the same for both the T-522 Unilite small window cab based wrecker from 1972 with the Detroit 8V-71 and the later T-533 1100 Series cab based wrecker with the Cummins NTC from 1977 forward. The original T-522 wrecker kit has never been re-issued as far as I know but the later T-533 kit has been out four times before and five with this one.

It's 6 years since the Will-Do was issued (2013) so one would think it's about time for another re-issue...but it looks like we have to wait a bit more. Both the Can-Do and Will-Do fetches a lot of money on "the auction place" like most of the other Revell Germany truck and trailer kits do so it looks like the demand is larger than the supply.

Nice start, I will follow this.

Yep finally, unfortunately we don't have TV coverage of the NHRA series over here but I followed the live timing on the NHRA website the whole race, I also watched the NASCAR race on TV at the same time IMO one of the best and closest races so far this year, and I watched the F1 race earlier on the day wich also was a good one...not the outcome I would have liked to see but a good race anyway...so it was a good sunday. Well enough about that...I'm very impressed of your skills and the model will be a killer when it's finished, thanks for sharing it with us.

I'm speechless.

1932 Ford Sedan: Chopped, Channeled & Olds Powered!

Very tasteful build. -
Even with these Coca Cola branded kits and the revenue they will generate I don't think we will see an all new tooling automotive kit from Round2 any time soon...I hope I'm wrong but that's my gut feeling. I don't mind if they do Coca Cola branded kits now and then as I most likely woun't use the decals anyway, if it's a kit I want I'll buy it regardless. But it gets a bit boring when 15-16 of their announced kits the last couple of years are Coke branded...plus the Coke decal parts pack...so it doesn't make me jump up in the air of joy when I hear Chad say " and we have the so and so kit with Coca Cola decals, vending machines and dolly" in the videos...especially when I already have the kit in question from an earlier release.

Model Engine ID needed
Force replied to Lordmodelbuilder's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It means that all are FE engines then because the SOHC is based on a FE too, but they are quite crude representations if I may say. The red and blue engines has the engine mounts where the oil filter should go. -
Well a small block has four bolts holding the valve covers, two on top and two on the bottom...the kit covers looks to have three on the bottom...even that is wrong as a big block has four on the bottom and three on top. MPC hasn't been known to do absolutely correct kits and this one is not an exception.

Revell Germany did a couple race only truck kits from the European Truck Racing Series in the 90's. The Mercedes-Benz 1450 LS came in 1991, two kits with decals to do two versions #7536 S Parrish or G Mekle and #7535 Th Hegmann or J Krasznai. The MAN Phoenix came in 1992, same there, two kits with decals to do two versions each, #7544 G Körber or M Santos and #7540 C Göransson or R Schmitt. I don't think any of them were reissued but you might find one on ebay.

Yes, nice build of the Mk IV. LeMans Miniatures has nice wheels for most of the GT40 kits and I have bought a couple of sets for my kits.

I'm not even sure the kit engine is a 350 because all Chevy Generation 1 small block engines looks pretty much the same on the outside. This engine looks more like a 396-454 big block if you go by the evenly spaced exhaust ports and the valve covers, the intake manifold is not Chevy at all as the intake ports should be siamesed even on the big block, so it looks more like Ford or Mopar Hemi. Your engine choice looks a lot better and more correct and you did a good job.

I have the original issues from 1997-98 and they were the blue and white kit# 8315, the blue street machine kit# 8319 and the yellow and white pro shop kit# 8455 and they came out pretty much at the same time within a year or so, all before RC2 bought AMT/ERTL. Except for the original issues of the new tool kits they haven't been out that often, I count to four for the regular kit and once for the kit with photo etch (the tin 100 year anniversary version), the street machine has maybe been re-issued once as I have seen it with different size boxes with the same boxart and kit number, while the original tooling from the early 60's has been out numerous times even after the new tool kits were released. If I remember right there were some issue with the tooling for these kits when everything was moved from Mexico to China. As for the Coca Cola stuff I don't mind at all...you are free to choose if you want to use it or not, I don't collect boxart nor collecting Coca Cola stuff so it doesn't matter to me...if it's a good kit I'll buy it.

The 57 Chevy is the latest tool from late 1990's, not the early tool from the 60's...so it's not that common as it hasn't been out that much. I have suspected that is the case for some time now....they are issuing almost everything with the Coca Cola brand lately, almost so much that it almost get's ridiculous. Coca Cola is one of the companies who spends the highest percentage of revenue for advertising so I don't find it unlikely. I don't care if the kits have Coca Cola decals and stuff, it's a free World so you don't have to use it if you don't want to.
