  1. As far as a price for insurance, don't sell yourself short on the unbuilt and resin parts and kits.
  2. ICM did a few different bodies for the Model T I am hoping this is the plan for the Model A's. I do wish they would have picked a different body style other than what was already here.
  3. 100% BILL. Even people I know that are tech heads take more time finding a number that even has an address right there already. One good thing is the relatives that don't have your address can't just look in the book to send out invites for the bring a present parties.
  4. Looks great Mike. The whole top in gold would have been fine as this is a big car. Is there going to be gold and black writing on the doors?
  5. 5 years ago here in Michigan I got to see him live. Good show. Buddy Guy opened the show.
  6. Get up to the counter at Meijer put my goodies on the belt and half through my order the Cashier asks for my ID. What I ask? What did I buy that needs an ID at 56? I found the movie Cannonball Run for 5 bucks on DVD. The couple behind me around the same age also got a chuckle out of it.
  7. I seen that at the drive in with my buddy's family. I was not even a teenager yet.
  8. Dave. my buddy goes to the local fast food restaurant's by him for his internet. Just ask for the password and get a coffee or soda.
  9. The Hollywood movie makers have always had a hard time making movies about cars. Maybe that is why they like the EV'S so much. How many times have 5 and 6 hubcaps flew off of a car in a chase scene? How about when a car goes sliding in a corner and they use a different car for the stunt. not even the same brand of car. It had 4 doors anyway.
  10. You can't tell a story about the cars without talking about the Man himself. Most cars don't have 1.5 hours of interesting conversation for a movie to make money on. If you want a story about the Miura, that is a 30 minute after school special. Don't forget just because we would love an in depth movie on our favorite car, that swill not pay the bills.
  11. I stopped it to the Monroe MI store on Thursday and there were 4 boxes on the floor filled with stuff for that Isle. A large number of robots models and a few of the rehash same old kits I already have. I looked through all of the boxes. LOL
  12. One of the best crank grinders here in the Toledo Area, left for a NASCAR engine builder 20 to 25 years ago. One small machine shop (that did great work) closed when the employees left to make double the money at the Railroad. I am not even sure where you take an engine around here to get it reworked. The crate engines with a warranty put most out around here along with the newer cars lasting longer. If the old cranky guys don't hire and teach young guys it will never change. They are looking around here for kids in the trades. When you don't hire new guys for 20 to 25 years and the guys that work all of the overtime they can retire who is there? When I graduated high school in 84 no one was hiring in the trades. you had to wait about 4 to 5 years for that influx of newer people. Some places still have a retirement at 30 years, even if they don't the body can only work for so long before you are worn out.
  13. Another Thanks Ray. Great Photo's .
  14. Lee just make sure you put some tape on the metal end. In case the owner walks out.
  15. The tractor and the trailers look like a nice addition to this hobby. The rep talking does a good job of putting the confidence they are not slowing down but the opposite. There are other 1/24th kits that interest me like the race team, but the first 3 are what makes me ready to spend the money.
  16. Welcome aboard
  17. Great idea. A former (now retired) Boss has always said, tools or only good if you have a use for them. If they don't work, change them so they are useful.
  18. They were 25% all last week. All of the Chebby's were already gone. Nothing but Jeep's and the Raptors left. A bunch of Jeep's funny here in Toledo you would have thought they would have been gone.
  19. Besides what the other have said, when mixing make sure you wipe the inside of the cup so you don't have unmixed resin leaving the cup.
  20. My friend of over 36 year passed away on Wednesday. Life is never going to be the same anymore.
  21. My favorite line was, A bunch of rednecks and an old Ford just went over 300. LOL
  22. What's not to love here. The color fits this like a glove. Well done, I agree one of the best examples of this kit done.
  23. VW, didn't but I think they should have. Looks great
  24. Dave this looks fine to me. Not your fault that you started out with a not so good looking car, but you made it look way better than GM did.
