I guess my point of the local auction was missed a little. I was talking about any auction, not just automobiles. Every piece of wooden furniture is described as a 100 year old high dollar piece. Hard to believe any auctioneer sometimes.
Ever been to a local auction? They talk up everything they sell, they make a commission on the end price. How much would you bid for a car if they told you what was wrong with it. Buyers responsibility to look over the car.
Not a Chevy guy but these are hard to get and a nice straight one is even harder to find. I agree with Tom 100.00 is common at shows for these. A resto mod would be a nice way to pay tribute to this long roof. It is just different wheels anyway.
How old is the house? I ask because in my time around old houses here is this.
1 plug in a room is old wires that are on the same breaker as other rooms in the house. Do the other rooms have at least 1 plug per wall?
I think you need to check and see how many plugs are on the same breaker also.
Yes Chevy is the entry level for GM. Always has been and Chevy fanatics never want to here that. If you look back at GM's idea it was a good one. Chevy was the money maker as they were rarely the risk taker for the company. The Corvette being the exception. Most of the R&D costs were on the shoulders of the other brands.
Most people do forget about Studebaker so not so much of a foul. LOL
What I do find funny is people never seem to mention that the SBC was the Last of the big 3 and most of the independents also beat them to the punch. So it should not have the problems the others have. When you have from 1917 until 1955 to research another one. LOL
