The 32's had a small block Ford, Flat Head Ford and the Early Hemi if I remember correctly. Now the A's have the Buick and the Small Block Chevy. We can pull the Oldsmobile out of the nice kit that is not to old. Just need a new Caddy, and poncho engine.

Tim this is stunning. They made the Autolite In - Line Carbs at my dads Plant. He worked on a lathe right down the walk way from the white metal furnaces for 30 years. They also did Starters and Alternators and many other parts there.

I think the rear fender wells are moved up on this body. Yes they are. I just compared the 2 bodies. The Revell body fits the AMT 29 Roadster fenders. There will be a gap at the top of the fender to fill on the body if you choose to use the Revell body.

Looks like a magneto to me. I am going to guess this is a Pontiac Engine with 2 exhaust ports in the center like many other V8's .

All hobbies have their peak and then they all have there highs and lows as time goes by. Yes some fad away some just get smaller. If we look at some of what most of us call woman's hobbies there is a resurgence in knitting and sewing. Young ladies are taking it up not their parents the ones much younger than the most of us. 40 and younger.

Mark you can try the head of a nail to use as a pry bar for the front to get them started. You might have to grind on the edge of the nail to get it started. The rear is another story. With the front off the rear might be easier.

Where I work we only have 25 people between 2 shifts. We repair and make blow molds for food and cleaning supplies. We are working the normal shifts until we are told we can not. They did say. IF YOU ARE SICK STAY HOME. Just call in. No limit on days.

Some people do collect them. How is the box art? Some of these kits have nice box art, as in better than the kit inside.

I like the way you put this Steve. Every thing else is speculation. The numbers I have heard on the radio and TV are all just that. We have no idea if this was not here for weeks or months and has been passed off as the flu because we don't always go get tested. So far they have a ratio or % but that is skewed because of the senior living or rehab care facility that had a run of the virus. That went through the worst place to get a real % test. Setting humans to a point of fear is what the Media has done the way I see it.Now they have even more stories to tell. Social media has not help one bit also, so much for their filters to stop fear and panic.

Someone that gets it. Also you can get parts for the 55,56 57 Chevy;s now but that was not always the case. Been around the people that collected these and sold these. They would pay more than a junkyard for a car take off the parts they needed and leave the car for the owner to resell. My Aunt and uncle had a 4 door they sold 3 times. The last guy they told him you have to take the car before you remove any parts. Now they just order the parts out of a book or web site.

This is a good question and it depends on people my ages wallet and state of mind. I add the last part because it seems to me there are thousands of delusional people when it comes to the cars of the past. They are delusional because 90% of the 50's cars they restore are just run of the mill family cars. Nothing wrong with what they do I like these cars also but I understand that they are/were just run of the mill.

Yes I do not recall the year. we had 3 Mavericks at the house moms was a new 73 4 door so that year sticks in my head but I am not sure if it was or not. My sisters was a big bumper car so it was newer than his.

Yes a 3 speed. remember it was a Maverick not a Mustang. It would still smoke the tires when it was almost dead.
