  1. Some of my favorites include Michael Mann, Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, Luc Besson, Ron Howard, Martin Scorcese.
  2. In-N-Out and Habit for burgers. KFC for chicken. Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds for breakfast. I try and limit my fast food intake, but it is the occasional guilty pleasure.
  3. Frank's Hobby House at 32nd and Cactus. Looks like a lot of R/C through the windows, don't know what their model car selection is like...will have to check back sometime when they are open.
  4. The larger boxes have an 'art print' of the box art inside, and often the color the kit is molded in differs between the two versions. Some releases may have extra parts in the art versions.
  5. Kind of a pleased and irked...I stumbled upon a hobby shop today that I didn't know existed, alas, they are closed on weekends (summer hours).
  6. They got their measurements from something...as good a guess as any. (I was being sarcastic, but I assume the 50 yr old Monogram tooling was more scale-accurate than Revell's).
  7. <sarcasm> I guess the difference is because the Monogram represents a stock '30 in 1/24th whilst the Revell represents a custom wide body hot rod '30 in 1/25th... </sarcasm>
  8. Seems like it would require scratch building w sheet styrene to make the 4dr roofline.
  9. Missing Link makes one for the Revell Monogram '69.
  10. Not much to say that hasn't been said in this thread. There are pics of the kit contents a couple pages back, Don Sikora's post. It's a typical MPC kit of that era.
  11. I do a lot of that..I work w/ a team here in Scottsdale, with teams in Jamaica and Barbados, offshore team in India, and a vendor in China. Lots of time zones and language/dialect variations to deal with in conference calls and email....going between British English and US English in emails causes lots of auto correct fun..
  12. Was at an intersection this morning between a dark red Challenger Hellcat and a new Jaguar F-Pace (first I'd seen of the new CUV). Both had very different, but appealing exhaust notes as they pulled away...
  13. Got my Volares today...they look pretty good at first glance. Glad they are molded in white.
  14. Volares. Waiting on the iPhone 7 before I get my next phone.
  15. Mine should be delivered today.
  16. I know, I know..I visit this site mostly from my phone and my tabby... auto correct and the formatting on a phone can be very annoying..
  17. Was up north over the weekend, saw some interesting older cars in Williams and Prescott, AZ.. '55 Pontiac, '46 Cadillac, 2 Ford trucks, a Bronco half cab, and a '50 Ford. The '50 Ford, trucks, Bronco were at a neat gas station/Rt 66 sourvenir shop in Williams. Also saw a blue '54 Cadillac and a tan '55 Cadillac, a '50 Pontiac, a '58 Edsel 2dr, a really clean '63 Dodge Dart convertible, and a couple '65 T-Birds.
  18. Saw these two in Williams, AZ yesterday. The tan one was for sale and a '71...not sure about the green one.
  19. Saw this neat Bronco half cab in Williams, AZ yesterday...
  20. Wonder what those holes on the rear quarter below the trim are...
  21. The list posted in this thread says '72.. MPC - MPC-839 - 1/25 1972 Ford Torino Bobby Isaac #15 Sta-Power Stock Car - $30.95and it's posted on their website as the MPC '72.... http://round2corp.com/product/1972-ford-torino-stock-car-bobby-isaac-15-sta-power/
  22. Interesting to see the '77 Monza listed there, what with the other Monza threads going on now. I'm familiar w/ the MPC Monzas, never had an AMT one...curious what this kit is like. Says 'custom'.
  23. As they say with regard to Pokemon, 'gotta collect them all'. Model companies could benefit from that kind of marketing...
